- The reality of salary package after IIM and MBA from India. There is a difference between CTC and In Hand Salary monthly even from institutions like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta and ISB
In this video i talk about the salary after IIM , MBA salary in India, Reality of IIM salary package, IIM salary per month and IIM salary after 5 years. I also reveal my salary range after IIM Ahmedabad. This video will help you understand the IIM Placement reality and how much of the 35 lakh package shown is actually credited in hand. While IIM placements in 2024 have not been the best, but the CTC and packages have mostly remained the same, so this is a relevant video for anyone who is thinking about pursuing MBA from India especially IIMs.
Remember, salary after IIM MBA should not be the only factor to do your MBA or join the college. There are various factors that you should consider apart from placements. Also while this video talks about the immediate placement from IIM Campus, the salary growth can be really good especially from these tier 1 MBA institutions

Anyone having starting salary of more than 1 lpm in-hand is a great salary because your growth is much much faster
1 lac means 10 thousand in Mumbai /Bangalore/Delhi....you atleast need 2.5 lakhs to live happily

it is easy to say growth, but not everybody sees that growth..its similar situation in college where only top 10-30% get good marks or good top placements…moreover you can see the inflation rate and situation of big cities
Don't think after you get the job, you'll have an easy life. Youll have to work very hard for growth. You might have sacrifice sleep, always be tensed, mental health is gonna detoriate. Maybe that's why this guy switched to UA-cam. Subtract the loan too
No 1lpm is not a great salary it's not even a good salary in inflated Market and considering I invested 30lacs in IIM Ahemdabad 1lpm will be a slap on my face
Even employer PF will also be included in CTC, employee PF will be deducted from salary
So when you calculate inhand you have to deduct pf with 2 multiplier.
An easier way to calculate inhand is dividing fixed salary by 14.5 to 15.5, gives the upper and lower bounds - its a thumbrule, mostly works, can check.

To burst everyone's bubble for 26.xx base pay (including variable of 1.5), one gets about 1.3-1.4l. in tech, it's about 1.4-1.6. 1.8 is not seen.

@@sanjeevi9055 brother talking about finance it is highest paid mba in all top mba colleges even outside India and average salary from abc iims + fms would be 28-35 lakh. The reason why you get this huge salary is because of the work load Yes, you would be working day and night. The most hectic and highest paid job in the field of mba is of Investment Banker and their average working hours are 80-100 hours/week.This job is about only money and work 24x7. You can also go in consulting and if you do cfa level 3 you can easily land a job anywhere on this earth. Bba+ mba finance+ cfa level 3 bro Paisa he Paisa but kaam b karvya jyga din raat.

Hi, I am a 3rd year Btech student now, and I would be in my final year if I apply for CAT this year(2024), but my Btech final exams would be held on June 2025. So should I appear for CAT this year or the next year. I am having this doubt Because I am eligible to sit for the exam this year (since final year students are eligible to sit for the exam) but I am not eligible to take admission anywhere (since all MBA B schools start before 15th June) if I go sit for the exam this year. I would be very grateful if you would kindly give me some advice.

@@shrishti3981 you can sit for the exam and if you do well in it you will eventually get calls and also you are eligible for the admissions because the marks for the last sem will be added later after the admission process when you are done with it.

CFA - I dont think gets you 6 points for diversity but Completing all levels of CA gets you 6 points in IIM-C

yep it should be 30%
You are in the 30% tax bracket but slab wise hota hai tax. So after deductions and everything if you take weighted average across slabs average tax will be 15-20%

Iim only allow with only cat

No criteria as such. Depends on oveall profile for the shortlist
