Here the clarification should have been given about the definition of irregular minor account for ppf. The rules so far allowed to open accounts on minor children’s name and operate it . The government should give proper clarity and also experts like you should help address common peoples confusion.

Can we close it. We have never exceeded the limit. At the time of opening, we were never told about this. Interest on PPF is tax free in India but tax has been paid on its interest accrued annually in USA taking this a part of global income. Request you to please suggest future course of action.
due to new technology. it is easy to find out multiple a/c and minor a/c using PAN CARDS. Without pan card no ppf a/c is being opened. No all ppf a/c holder mis used scheme. only 10 to 20 % may be misused.. So those who has misused, will be penalised.. Why other 80 % those who has not misused scheme penaisd . so it is not justified to penalise all.
The government is right in plugging the loopholes. Those who opened PPF Accounts which were not linked to Aadhar and PAN were enjoying the benefit of 2 types Exemptions from IT from Interest as well as maturity are now exposed. Needless to state that as bank interest rates are lower those who could afford were investing in multiple accounts. Linking Aadhar and PAN helps to plug the loophole. Opening of accounts by grandparents while the natural guardians are alive was another mode of tax saving, not in the right way. Good decision.
Maam. As per 206C tcs is applicable on liquir Tendu leaves and scrap metal Etc.. Sir when I read this section it say that the seller can deduct tcs if his tournover limit exceed 10cr and sales to single buyer more than 50 lacs.. but some seller are deducting tcs even if buyer sales is not exceed 50lacs.. Request you to kindly advice on this please maam..
As on date the PPF account could be continued for the full tenure even if you are NRI. But it could not be extended further when you are an NRI. Then under this condition when the existing tenure is yet to get completed (ie under mid way) what will happen to those PPF accounts for NRI? Can these policies be continued till the end of the existing period with earnings of interest rate 7.1% till the end of the existing tenure for NRI? Or else these accounts also get terminated on 30-09-2024 with 7.1 % interest rate and there after zero interest rate?
The Worst Govt ..Indians are facing right now in the context of economic policy. How a person can save money for his girl child's future ..if they are not able to create PPF for minor (single account only)
Madam bewakoof mat banao. PPF account kholne ke liye PAN CARD zaroori hota hai. So its not possible to have 3 account for one person. Also make sincere assessments. Money in such accounts is locked up for many years.
