      Thanks for the comment. True, you got me on that. My assistant Tech filmed a lot more up close video however he had his finger on the lens the whole time so I had to work with what I had. I'll be sure to show you an in depth video in a few weeks. Hope that helps

      Heck yeah! It is a useful tool for applying solution but also a great versatile pressure tip for jetting off gutters or decks - thanks for the comment!

    When you’re using the x-jet and chemicals, once you hook up the pressure washer with x jet is there a water hose connected to the pressure washer or you don’t use one and it’s only the bucket with SH mixed with water?

    Nice. Can you achieve this same result by downstreaming with a longer dwell time?

    • @northeastwashpros6655

      great question: I've never downstreamed but I think dwell time is everything. 15 min is my max though.

    I’m having trouble figuring out how to use the Color Proportioners on the Xjets. Any tips you can give me ? It’s a little confusing for me

    • @northeastwashpros6655

      I dont use the color tips because it over complicates things. I use the xjet ball valve to proportion how much flow i get but also Im using about a 3% mix to start with in the pail. 2 gallons or less or SH and the rest water then turn the xjet valve to about 25% open and see what results i get then adjust accordingly. For gutters ill open up the xjet ball valve all the way for a hotter mix

      @@northeastwashpros6655 Even at the Xjets highest draw rate of 1.6:1 for a 4.0gpm machine running it with no colored proportioner insert your 3.0% batch mix in the pail is only able to achieve 1.8% max applied final ratio which

    Do you get much weepage from under the vinyl siding when you are done and gone? Does it leave its own trails?

    • @northeastwashpros6655
      @northeastwashpros6655  2 роки тому

      Not really but once in a while you'll get a dirty house and the weep holes seem to never stop dripping dirt. I always let my customer know that it's normal and should wash away after the next rain storm

  • @mutzcleaningservices8153

    I can only get 10.3 percent sh. With an x jet do I still need 5050? Or a proportioner?
    10.3 x jet should bring me down to 3 without 5050 and proportioner. Does that make sense.? I'm a newbie

      I heard other channels say only use 1 percent on vinyl, so be careful before you do some damage.

    Nice video, thanks for sharing! I am new to this... Are you using the same chemical mixture for every surface you cleaned in this video? Thanks for the info!

    • @northeastwashpros6655
      @northeastwashpros6655  2 роки тому +3

      For vinyl I use a light mix (1-2%) and for stucco and masonry it depends but always a hot mix around 4-6%

    How long does a 5 gallon bucket last you?

    • @northeastwashpros6655
      @northeastwashpros6655  2 роки тому

      Lasts a full house normally. The xjet ball valve makes the concentration variable during the cleaning. For instance if the gutters are filthy I turn it up 100% so I might need to add a little more but its rare. Usually 1 bucket per house/job. Smaller jobs I can increase the concentration inside the pale (instead of 50/50 mix I'll fill it up with 75% or more with SH to make it last.

    So at a 50/50 mix with 12.5% sh it's now around 6.25% right? So what % is it coming out of the xjet? Just got my xjet today and starting into the pressure washing business but still trying to learn and get my ratios/percentages down.

    • @northeastwashpros6655
      @northeastwashpros6655  3 роки тому +8

      It depends on what proportion tip you use ... you could also dilute in the bucket, especially if you’re working on vinyl siding, as you don’t even really need that high of strength. In that case, if the Pail is 50% water and 50% SH, then it would be 12.5% * 50% = 6.25. Then of course you divide that by your proportioner size. I stopped using the small tips because my guys would loose them - instead I use the ball valve located on the xjet hose and open it slightly between 25% and 50% open. The xjet without proportioner tip is 3/1.

    • @Chris72401
      @Chris72401 2 роки тому +3

      @@northeastwashpros6655 The xjet ratios are GPM dependent. 4gpm with no proportioner is 1.6-1, 5GPM 2-1, 6GPM 2.4-1, and 8GPM 3-1. Keep in mind that you'd want to divide your concentration by the sum of the ratio. For example, 4% solution in your bucket and a 4GPM open proportioner (1.6-1), you'd divide 4 by 2.6 to have a final at the tip concentration of 1.5 which is more than sufficient for most solid non-porous surfaces. Stucco...yeah. Lots more bleach :D Around a 3% at the gun or greater sometimes.

    Not much information on the Xjet that I am interested in purchasing. You showed the before and after but no in between on site training as your video ad suggests. Was hoping to see actual use of the X jet being used more.

    Thanks for the video. But what is better on stucco mainly xjet or softwash? I am thinking of starting my pressure business now. But only got a 3000 2.5gpm machine.

    • @northeastwashpros6655
      @northeastwashpros6655  3 роки тому +4

      SO for stucco your mix needs to be stronger and the xjet is great for quicker jobs like vinyl and some masonry jobs. Stucco can be tough because, as with most projects, it depends on how dirty it is AND a soft wash system will allow you to dial in your ratios better and faster. You would need a TON of SH for stucco so I would not consider and xjet unless it was a chimney or 1 side only....that way you don't have to be constantly refilling your xjet pail. hope this helps
