In this video I talk about an unexpected triumph at the Brawl Stars World Finals 2023. Edgar, once considered the worst Brawler in Brawl Stars was suprisingly picked in the Grand Finals by Zeta Division against STMN Gaming. With the like of Tribe Gaming in the tournament and a $750,000 prize pool, this was simply a massive event.

If you had watched Monthly Finals, Edgar pick would not surprise you. Back in Season 18 Edgar was used a lot in Split, Hot Potato and Pit Stop, and made some appearances after Season 18. Also, Edgar was the perfect option because Edgar counters Colt and Barley.

I can agree Edgar was bit weak but trust me, once you main him you are the strongest. My cousin for example plays so well with Edgar he maned him since he was free. Edgar in its early days after apocalypse was the legit strongest, but with addition to more brawlers he got straight weak to be said worst brawler. Even tough he became world champion, the saying of worst brawler never changed, THAT'S UNTILL hypercharges came. Edgar's hypercharge is said to be the second best hypercharge in game, just behind fang, but let me tell ya, he had most broken hypercharge INDEED SO BROKEN THAT HE NEEDED AN EMERGENCY NERF, but that nerf did nothing, his hypercharge still dominates, being second best hypercharge tough, fang slams him good there

Edgar is that type of brawler that either hard counters or gets hard countered which is the reason he's bad without hyper which can change a whole game (not only this hyper too, i hate funny purple button)

Worst doesn't mean unusable - anyone can use anyone to win (ofc depending on various factors as well like the amount of bushes and walls in a map), "bad" brawlers are just harder to climb with. Easier to win with someone like Larry and Lawrie or Fang than it is with Edgar, that doesn't mean he's unusable or that him being used in winning a World Championship is weird.
well ofc worst doesnt mean unusable but it its hard to use bc low health low healing only good with star power and gadget if you dont have it then its kinda unusable it gets countered by a lot of brawlers and if it gets close to brawlers either kills or gets killed fast thats why it is considered worst brawler it gets countered HARD low health low damage low healing only good with gadget and star power but his hypercharge is OP as heck
