    Very interesting, thank you.
    - What about trailing edge flutter? On other videos it seems to have quite a bit of it.
    - If you get larger sizes, it'd be very interesting to see what the absolute low end is for foiling. For a 'standard' rider (75-80kgs) on a foil suitable for LW (1100 cm2 or so). I wonder if those kites open up the 4-7kts range foiling.
    - It seems extremely similar to the Gin Marabou 2. A comparison would be great.

      -With this size there was some flutter when fully de powered. Didn’t seem to cause any problem but durability might get affected.
      -When I get bigger sizes I’ll make new comparison if I can
      -Unfortunately I don’t have the kite you talk about.

      The trailing edge flutter because it’s single skin. Single skin canopy flutter a lot, it’s not an issue.

      I'm considering the same size, for my 72kg. In what winds would you use Hybrid 9.5 with my weight (kifefoiling, but also freeride on a tiki board)? Thanks!

      @@sebastianlopienski I only use mine 8-15 kn of wind on Armstrong 1550v2. Once the wind gets stronger than 15 it starts flapping hard and you are overpowered for my condition

    I've seen plenty of reviews, and almost all are about size 7.5. My interest is with a max size of 11.5 - being told that it will go on sale mid December...well, i've seen some shops selling it already. Also, the advice page on Flysurfer site has some suggestion about this big size to be used on twintip and instead use a Soul with foil. Well, looks like a business thing.

      I’m also very curious about the big sizes. I had excellent experiences teaching with the soul 12 to people already in the riding phase or close to it. But it could be tricky to relaunch sometimes for people without a lot of experience, so this kite is exciting to see if it similarly performs as the smaller kites

    Thanks for the video!
    Based on this video I decided to buy the 3.5m and sell my peak5 4m. Unfortunately the low end of the 3.5m hybrid is for me 18-20 knots (95kg and 1150 front wing) and with the peak5 4m it is 15knots.
    It’s an awesome kite but I am disappointed with the low end.
    Now doubting if I would change tot a 5.5m.

    • @KookProofActivityCenter
      @KookProofActivityCenter  Рік тому +1

      I still haven’t gotten the chance to test out the bigger sizes but if you had a 4 and want a bit more low end maybe the 5.5 is the way to go to complement the 3,5 you have. They are still great kites.

    Am I dreaming or would such a 10m hybrid enable a 75kg rider have fun on a twintip in 10 knots? 🤩
    If so, that would be an absolute must have for me!

    • @KookProofActivityCenter
      @KookProofActivityCenter  Рік тому +2

      Well with the soul 12m i have i can get going in marginal winds around 12-13knots. This hybrid in bigger sizes will be lighter than the soul. I’m very curious to understand how low it can go. One this for sure to travel with a quiver of these kites will be a lot easier due to the low weight. One bar and 3 kite plus one board and you are sure you will kite 90% of the times.

    hello, the video is very interesting and I await further tests for the larger sizes than 3.5 m2
    but, since they say it is suitable for children, I think it pulls little and I would like to know from you if you know what the lower wind limit is for starting from 'water, in strapless foil, for a person around 85 kg

    • @KookProofActivityCenter
      @KookProofActivityCenter  Рік тому +1

      I would say that you might be able to get going around the 15knots wind with the 3,5 and a 75kg rider. The guy testing it managed to go and it was max 18knots. I think he could go a little bit before.

    Hi nice video. I am 80 kg and I am in doubt about the Hybrid size for me. Wind in my hometown is 10-20knots, I have two large wing foils (1000-1225cm2) and a big board (39L). Which Hybrid do you recommend (5.5 or 7.5)?

    • @KookProofActivityCenter
      @KookProofActivityCenter  Рік тому

      I haven’t tested those sizes but I guess you can go with the 5.5m. It will always be more fun than a bigger size.

    I'm very interested in this kite for low end foiling (8-12 knots). Being a pretty big and heavy person (95kg), do you reckon a 7.5 would be enough? Or should I go for a 9.5 instead?

      95 kg rider here. At 8 knots you will need the 8.5 for sure
      At 12knits you could get away with the 7.5 at its limit. But for me at those wind ranges, 9.5 suits me best as I have both.

    I understand it’s a single skin and I don’t believe it’s gonna hit 20-30’ or 7-9m. What kind of height can you get with this kite and is it good for non boosted jumps (ie, back/front roll, butter slides, hand drags/plant, dark slides, and others)

    • @KookProofActivityCenter

      For non-boosted jumps, it works perfectly. Hangtime is not the best, but pop jumps are no problem.

      At that weight with that foil you could ride a UFO 7-8m in 10-11kts if you have a bit if technique, which means you'd likely need a 5-6m Hybrid (no guarantee but they seem to deliver the power of a ~2m larger LEI for foiling). Best would be to try :)
