We have an older 1700 planter and I was wondering if we could switch over to this on ours.

I know John deere is typically built pretty heavy, but at those speeds isn't there a lot higher possibility of breaking parts. It sounds and from the demos like a great product.

Why do away with the seed firmer?

how often is anyone gonna have fields worked that smooth to be able to plant that fast, the extra time its going to take to work the ground that smooth and soft you coulda just stayed with an older planter planting slower and got everything planted in the same time you could with the exactemerge with way fewer parts. I would assume the exact emerge also has a generator to power all the motors, seems like a lot of extra stuff, moisture getting into harnesses and mice chewing on wires and the regular wear on the wires on the row units, always moving up and down are going to wear through eventually. The brush belt idea or just a belt in general like an old finger planter belt but way longer is a great idea though, the rest just seams a bit over or under thought out. Just need way too perfect of conditions to ever fully use the benefits of the exact emerge.

Put me on the list for a 40/20" cotton/grain 70foot planter on tracks.
