This is a great alternative to the endless cornhole boards you see online! Simple yet effective. I'm curious where you get your hatchets to throw from?

Thanks! Yea, wanted to try something different and this is a good one. You can find the hatchets at wal mart or any home supplier store. From what I've read the ones at wal mart work great and they only cost around $15.

Maybe add a plywood front to be sold at a lower cost so when the 2x4 is destroyed you can replace with fresh wood? Using a laser engraver you could have the target set the same size each time. Super cool idea! I think 200 is pretty steep though… maybe 150?

Great idea on the plywood. Price really depends on area. In my area 220 is a good sweet spot for something like this.

You can get $400 for a Cornhole set. You should get $250 for this.

Fantastic work, dude! It really looks great! Well done!!! 😃
I guess it would be a bit big to use a pyrography tool, but... I'm thinking about making one. The easier way, let's say.
But I still need to make some tests and decisions about what I'm going to use, but... Well, we shall see. And perhaps I make a video, I don't know. 😬
(But if I do it's going to be in English and Portuguese. We shall see what happens.)
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

You can use your laser to make your own stencils of whatever you want or need.
Could use to make the target or logos for spraying onto or whatever.
(And if your design is larger than your laser bed, you can tile it out)

great idea! I'm actually planning to use it like so, just gotta learn how to design first

How well does the target work with the angle? I find it a safer option than vertical to reduce rebound, but I wasn’t sure if there was reduced performance due to the angle.

I don't know enough about that to give a good answer. This is my first time throwing hatchets, but it hasn't seemed to be an issue.

This is how you turn something really simple out of something what would likely be very hard. Reminds me about Woody Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible which is being given away and can try go’ogling, but I’m not so sure, have a good one!
