The format of your videos is absolutely perfect. It combines facts with the daily itinerary in a perfect balance You really give the viewer the feeling of being there with you Thank you for all your work. 🎉
I'm addicted to your channel. The chances of a world cruise for me are nil for several reasons. Therefore, you two are my virtual guides. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Nancy, you possess the most beautiful smile.
It's so interesting. I love how not every port has to be a thrill of a lifetime to be fun and a time to remember. Speaking of a time to remember, the Machu Picchu port sounds like it definitely WAS a time to remember even if it wasn't what you were expecting! I'm looking forward to hearing that story! I hope you had a blast in French Polynesia, and I can't wait to hear the stories from New Zealand! Safe travels!
I’m so glad we’re recording it all here on UA-cam because this will be a great way for us to remember the trip. Tahiti was amazing. We left there last night and look forward to New Zealand.
Absolutely loved this video…. And all of them. You have such joy in your faces whilst you talk about your experiences and you show massive respect for local culture. Keep enjoying yourselves and thanks for sharing your experiences
HI Nancy and Mike! Y'all have been a joy to watch, and I'm finally caught up on videos! Living vicariously through you. I would love to do a world cruise one day. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
We had an exchange student from Chile, Santiago and he was so sweet and would be excited to see your festival footage. You are my favorite world cruise couple.
Another excellent visit - and the bonus of a festival. We stumbled on the same in Rothenberg Der Tauber, Germany. Beautiful walled city but once inside, amazing festival. It was Pentecost celebration and we were treated to dancing in the square when suddenly a community band in costume would emerge from an alleyway and process through town. A fabulous memory.
Oh, thank you for sharing your story about Rothenberg. We used to live south of Munich for four years and loved Rothenberg. So glad to have you following along on our journey.😀
Truly enjoying your blogs as I live vicariously through them! The format is great - informative and real. Live your assessments of each place you visit. Looking forward to a day in the life. Take good care of my favourite ship - she’s a real beauty!
Your videos are so positive it makes me happy when I see that blue dot notification! I tried several videos of others on the world cruise but I was not interested in negativity or rumors. Thank you!
Yup stumbling upon a local event is a real joy. A number of years ago we did the same in the Med, only was a wedding. The locals were passing around a bottle of plum brandy. Something we remember fondly. Thanks for sharing.
Your bravery amazes me. Eating a sketchy looking hot dog from a Dairy Queenish establishment is scary! Lol. Thank you for sharing the beautiful festival with us. Everyone looked so joyful. What a great day!
I’m so glad Tony of La Lido Loca turned me onto your channel. I’m enjoying so much the way you embrace adventures. My husband and I could never travel the way you both are doing . That’s one reason I enjoy tagging along with you thru your channel.
Love your videos. When we visited Santiago Chili in the town center there were numerous vendors selling hot dogs, marked from different countries. We also tried several different ones. But that's the adventures of travel
Such an amazing adventure, I've been following you from the beginning. I now feel like I'm on a virtual world cruise too.😂 So looking forward to seeing the ship arrive into Brisbane. 🎉
I can't travel at this time but love being able to journey with you all. Have had the privilege of seeing the sights of some of south america in the 1990s so this is so fun and rewarding. Thank you for the positive and happy times.
I love it. I was fortunate to spend my first night's in Porto Portugal while their festival of St John was going on....amazing and unexpected surprise Also!!! Cool museum!!!
Love all the information about this stop on your tour! I love how informative you guys are. That church would be fascinating to see. Thank you for showing some of the Bill Cook show. Love this channel!
What a wonderful day! So many eye candy moments. Loved the church! And nice to realize where the temperatures change and you need to make adjustments to your daily dress. Thanks!
First time I’ve subscribed to a you tube! And first comment! Love how real you are! Love to do this some time but 3 kids and 4 pets, not quite there yet😊
I'm surprised you didn't get to the desert. Its the driest in the world and has some amazing sculptures rising out from the desert. Was there a couple of years ago and would definitely go back.
Great videos of yr fabulous trip. You both Give great discussions of yr adventures. I really like the endings.. “Would you return ….” Be well, safe and Enjoy
Another informative video. I tried to do a deep dive on Augustus Eiffel, but there wasn’t too much about the church. It is interesting when people go outside their bubble of expertise. There is a beautiful catholic church in Helena Arkansas designed by Herman Miller. (office furniture, fame) And Georgia O’Keeffe designed a beautiful Catholic Church in New Mexico. I’m going to share with you something I did during (C) lockdown. I was getting pretty claustrophobic and really wanted to go somewhere however, obviously couldn’t. One day it hit me I could travel by video. So that Sunday I attended mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. It had been over 50 years since I had been to mass at St. Patrick’s . After that every third Sunday or so I would attend mass somewhere in the United States. I went to cathedrals I went to churches I had visited on travels. Mass is always the same but at the same time different when you travel. I don’t know if any of the churches you have visited are still streaming their masses, but it might be a fun thing to do.
I think that is an absolutely great idea. We do watch mass on UA-cam when we can’t get to church, but I like your idea of choosing virtual mass at various locations.
Wow! So neat that a festival was going on. How old was the burial site that the museum sits over? I am guessing it was very old if nobody knew it was there.
Enjoying your Vlogs so much , Had you made a extra spending budget ?? For the cruise , nik nacs , souvenirs ?? stitching thread ?? Curious , would you share , As always I'm excited fir the next Vlog😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sadly, due to the strikes that were occurring there, we were not able to make it to Machu Picchu. Royal Caribbean gave us other wonderful things to do like Punta Tambo and more. It gives us a reason to go back so we can visit Machu Picchu in the future.
The day you come into my home port of Newcastle Australia I will actually be on a cruise ship in New Zealand like two ships passing in the night 😂 I can thoroughly recommend visiting the Hunter Valley wineries, the Hunter Valley Gardens, dolphin watching in Port Stephens and visiting our beautiful beaches here in Newcastle itself ❤
My husband and I are going on a cruise in 1 month to Mexico. I am so happy you provide these videos, and find them so helpful. Especially the videos about packing “extra necessities” in your luggage. Thank you for those. QUESTION: why do cruise ships not allow surge protectors? Thanks!
Nancy, speaking, You’re asking a question that requires a really in-depth answer, but to keep it short, I’ll just say it’s a fire hazard. I know Mike went into detail about it on one of our very early videos.

Wow! So neat that a festival was going on. How old was the burial site that the museum sits over? I am guessing it was very old if nobody knew it was there.
You know, I wasn’t sure when you asked this, so I googled it and what I found out is that it was several thousand years old.
I'm curious about your embroidery, love to see what you're making!
I’ve had several requests on that. I will do a UA-cam short on it either today or tomorrow. So look for it soon.😀
Enjoying your Vlogs so much , Had you made a extra spending budget ?? For the cruise , nik nacs , souvenirs ?? stitching thread ??
Curious , would you share ,
As always I'm excited fir the next Vlog😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much for following along on our journey. We had budgeted about $100 each for every port we go into.
I am really enjoyed your videos, keep up the good work. You are making me want to do a World Cruise. Not sure about 9 months.
Thank you so much for following along.
Gorgeous Chuch
Would love to see what your cross stitching. I always take my counted HAED cross stitch on cruises.
I’m going to do a UA-cam short on that either today or tomorrow. Thank you for asking.
Thanks again for another great adventure. Loved the history of the church. Do you know if there has been an earthquake since it was completed?
That’s a good question and I wasn’t sure. I tried googling it. I think there have just been minor earthquakes since that time.
Looking forward to your Machu Picchu video. I would like to visit but I’m wary of the altitude.
We are going to Hunter, Valley wineries! And we’ll just wave at you from our balcony as our cruise ships pass.😀
@@livingphase2 thank you so much Nancy!! No detail needed!
we are very interested in taking the next world cruise. we normally cruise in an inside cabin. do you have the numbers on how many of the world cruisers are in inside vs balcony cabins?
I don’t have those numbers, I know on our hallway there are several world cruisers, who have interior cabins. They seem to be doing just fine. But for myself, Nancy here, I absolutely love our balcony.
Hello Nancy! I'm a new Cpap patient and I was wondering how you get your Distilled water or do you go without humidification
You know, surprisingly, the ship provides it for us. Right now my distilled water bottle has a label printed in Spanish!
@livingphase2 Is that because you're a world.cruiser? Just wondering because I will be joining you in August. Thanks so much for your reply!
Do you use the gym facilities or fitness classes? Are they enjoyable?
Yes, we often go to the gym.
How are you dealing with different currencies at all these countries?
Most places will take credit card. Many of the straw markets at the port will take US dollars. We brought along some euros for when we’re in Europe. And we can exchange or take money out of a local currency at an ATM.
Another great video. How are you handling your Federal Income Taxes while you are away?
We just filed them. We took care of it all online.
How are you dealing with the currencies? Do you go to an ATM in each port so you have money for local stands?
Many places take credit cards. As for the straw markets that are near the port, they usually take US dollars. We brought along some euros. And if need be, we can stop at an ATM near the port.
You want to Chlle for a hot dog and didn't get chili on it?
Was the the hot dog warm or chilly?
😂😂😂 Love this!
I’m just discovering your channel and love it! I apologize if you have answered this many times. How to get currency for every port you explore? The waffle stick stand I would imagine does not accept credit cards?
ATMs are prevalent around the port areas so it’s easy to get local currency.
Is this an all inclusive cruise for the most part..........Wait till you take your next world cruise with an alternative itinerary......
Yes, for the most part this is an all-inclusive cruise as food drinks Wi-Fi etc. are included. We’ve just had to pay for our excursions.
How much is a world cruise? Are you folks living on cruise ships?
We are living on the cruise ship for nine months. It was about 70,000 per person.
Hard for me to imagine a city on the ocean coast getting 0 inches of rain per year.
I know, right!
I had a completo hot dog in Chile and it was a no for me...lol
We’re on the hunt for a better one yet.😂
Chile is such a beautiful country but unfortunately you cannot visit it with a cruise ship. You are missing too much…😢😢😢
We’ve said this cruise is the sampler platter. And we hope to get back and explore many of these places in greater depth in the future.
Cheeses Waffle ❤
❤️
I am in rehabilitation center recovering from a stroke. So I am living right curiously through your videos.😅😮 Keep homecoming you're doing a great job
