Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many good memories L.O.V.E. this song. I mean, seriously. This is the absolute PEAK of all music, right from the moment the synth starts at 3:42 my brain lights up and my skin is electrified! This with Neo (The One) were EVERYTHING that got me into a ten year love of trance. EVERY track, album, mix I have EVER bought (inb4 no one "buys" on the internet) from trance, euphoric ~, hardstyle, NRG, everything through to chillcore owes a huge debt to Slyder. ... Such a shame those guys gave-up doing trance in favour of silly synthpop/indie-rock songs. True story. Look it up. I couldn't make this ship up. MIND YOU, I guess it did finally mean a form of mainstream attention/success, which Slyder never got (more's the shame), with a song on the Project X OST. And have a listen to their "You are the one" and guffaw loudly and happily at the familiarity of the chorus. :D And stylistically they sound very Toyah, but that's probably just because Toyah is about the only synthpop music I have.
I love this song so so much! I won't say that it got me into trance per se as I have always been interested in electronic music but I tell ya, when I loaded up GTA III and started playing I noticed that on this one channel, there was this one song with that one particular drop and it just sounded very good. So I started leaving the radio on Rise FM and finally I heard the entire track and boy was I hooked! 22-23 frickin' years later and it still sounds awesome. And it definitely helped me find my favourite trance genre: uplifting trance; sweeping pads with huge vast sound scapes... oh, man, once I start I ramble :D The only bad thing?
