I read this post before watching the video and I couldn't NOT see this every time he went on to new trouble for the planet. I ended up laughing by the end of the video each time he did so.
I've definitely found Onderon to be one of the most fascinating planets in the Star Wars universe. It's just incredible how far in history Freedon Nadd's actions there have rippled and had an effect on the galaxy as a whole.
I just imagine a few of the more historically minded commanders among the republic's forces having a flashback. Like being told by your commanders you're going to invade vietnam, afganistan, or russia in december.
To be fair however, Ramsis Dendup was generally a fair and likeable person, especially when it came to freeing his own people. This is epitomized in his speech to call people to resist the CIS, which genuinely shows care and not a mad quest for power like Nadd did. (I still remember how awesome that speech was)
I know onderon wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I quite enjoyed the arc. It’s gonna be bittersweet to see it again on bad batch once an ally to the GR now it’s enemy. Who knows? Maybe we will see how Gerrera ended up becoming the radical we see in Rebels and rogue one from the invasion. They all start somewhere.
Between the clone wars & Nihilus, another little war accured. The war between the Sith Empire & the old Republic. You can play through the story in the onslaught expansion of the mmo Star Wars the Old Republic. In this video there were also some pics out of the game.
I want to a see an alternate Clone Wars spin-off where everything happened exactly as it did but Palpatine never helped or hindered either side during the war. Or maybe he died right at the start. Some of the Separatist feats would be epic to see.

They had a bigger army & navy and the Republic wouldn’t have plot armor on their side. Maybe they lose but I don’t see them getting utterly wiped out. Who knows.

That's kind of the gist of a lot of Jedi. The idea is that they have to move to deal with the greater evils in the galaxy (also it's more fun to the viewer/player lol). But yeah just leaving people with traditions in evil left to sort it out just spawns more work for Jedi later on. Maybe that's the idea, so the galaxy doesn't outright remove them from their status lol

How to avoid galactic catastrophes: Colonist: "Eek, this planet seems too ominous. Let's find a more suitable planet to colonize." Colonist 2: "Let's also vaporize the planet and its moon so that it doesn't end up stabbing us in the back."
I like how they work out some real world science like the atmospheres merging but something like that could never be possible. The moon would be ripping the planet apart and vice versa. they add real science into a lot of this but it's all hypothetical

It's mad to think that in this time period the republic suffered war after war. First the Great sith war Then the Mandalorian war Then the Jedi civil war Then the Dark war. No wonder the republic was on it's knees. 4 Wars in the space of what, 60 years or so? Each one was devistating. And by the end of it the Jedi were also more or less extinct. Must have been a terrifying time to live in. Can you imagine the relief of the Republic and Jedi after the battle of ruusan believing the sith were finally dead? I am amazed the republic had anything left in it to rebuild after all that, not to mention Surik had to rebuild the Jedi Order from the ground up.
