If you want a decent depower where the man gives up his powers willingly (kinda, he was under duress), I recommend Disney's Hercules. It's no way myth accurate, but it's good fun, and Herc does give up his powers at the end of the third act.
At this point, after OSP has gone on and on and on.... about "tropes", I'm waiting for OSP to make of a list of _what is _*_not_*_ a trope_ . If OSP only sees "tropes" , what does that mean?
How would you make a video about writing tropes without writing tropes ? If something is not a trope, it usually just is a one-of-a-kind aspect of a specific piece of fiction, which does not really help you when you are trying to discuss writing fiction in general, since that aspect is then just unique to THAT specific piece of fiction... Everything else just is a trope, thats you can use, not use, or subvert, that is just how writing works.
