I am originally from Venice and I have always been open to tourism in our town. Thanks to people like these guys most of the citizens of Venice hate tourists. You were not only behaving with huge disrespect, but also it is very dangerous because in the Laguna there are many boats, like cars on the street. Also, laguna is the favourite home for huge rats, which might bring also mortal illness. Good luck with that. I will truly recommend checking the doctor. 😬

I went to Venice and other parts of Italy in 2013 with a Chinese tour group. If you know anything about the Chinese tourism mindset (especially those that are over 60) you would know that we tend to be pretty shit visitors.
I was 11 then, and even I knew not to do what the other tourists were doing. They were ignorant, disrespectful, and rude.
Yet none of them even came close to this level. Amazing. I didn't realise anyone could beat elderly Chinese tourists in being a shitty tourist and a generally shitty person. Look's like I was wrong.
