Arthur could resurrect the dead! I had a big crash in one of my rally cars some years ago and I got it repaired by a rally driver who was also a panel beater and the alignment was better than before the crash! Lots off subtle skill in Arthur's work.

You certainly earned that steak dinner this time, Arthur, and a case of beer! Fluid Film??, it's a necessity here, too! From the accordion/corrugation pattern of that right rail, I'd say this "Beemer" is 'definitely "HIT DIAMOND"; which even the best of shops dread (not to mention, a "full-length, three-axis hit"). I remember seeing a Celica Supra on one of the Car-O-liner's at my family's shop, for the better part of three weeks. It was a left rear corner (30 - 35 mph) hit, which pushed the front "squarely" into a concrete wall. There were no stress creases evident anywhere during the tear-down estimate/physical damage appraisal/adjustment process, however, once it went onto the Car-O-liner, it was discovered that a 22 mm difference in the front-to-back length, and an almost 9 mm difference (at four measurement points) in the side-to-side dimensions existed. This was in 1984; the car was less than a month old, and State Farm tried sixteen ways from Sunday to avoid the "Declaration of Total Loss", and only did so after my uncle contacted our state's insurance commission. By the early 1990's, they managed to bring the successful repair percentage, of vehicles hit like this, 'way northward', to the point where the adjusters didn't automatically check-off entire sections of the "front, back, and both sides" of the Chilton's/Motor's program.

Arthur you are an incredible mechanic very sought after skill but I'd be very worried about buying a car you just wouldn't be able to tell was it a right off or wasn't it anyway you've got a skill on a craft and I take my hat off to you well done
