My dad was an avid outdoorsman and loved to run lines. Of 4 boys i was the only one who ever really cared to go with him. He and i spend many night on the banks of rivers on cots and running lines every few hours. The last thing we did together in his final weeks of life ( cancer) was run a few lines. We had a mess of those window weights as well
You made his last days wonderful 😊
Those are memories to cherish forever!

I really enjoyed the video! All you needed was the little kids on the boat to catch fish lol. I know you were hoping to put his bait on and have a line full of fish but it doesn't always work out like that but you do know it catches fish. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Great video... Thanks for giving my baits a try... I think the bait that the name had rubbed off. Was my original bait that I started making in 1966. It was a recipe given to me by a guy on the side of the creek. It always caught a lot of catfishing a lot of carp. It's a cotton seed meal bait.
The zote soap. I'm glad to see it stays on. I'm glad to see you caught some fish on it. You never know when or what fish are going to like. The chicken liver I'm glad to see it stayed on. It's pretty tough stuff. All the lakes in Texas right now where we live we're not able to fish. Water is too high. They've got all the ramp shut down. But the chicken liver's been doing really good here. And it's stable. Does not rot it does not smell bad. And it stays on the hood. I appreciate you giving my bait a try. If I come up with a new style of bait I'll send it that way. Appreciate you trying my baits. One of my friends in Ohio. I sent him some Redd Dawg links. They were fishing up on. And his son couldn't keep the bait in the water. I think you said they fish for 5 minutes and they call like six fish- bluegill. Yes if anybody needs any bait... Like to contact me through. UA-cam

Use trotline clips on the stageons , and reel your lines up on extension cord reel . As you tie one end to limb and spool out and as you go unrolling clip your stageons on the way out and when rolling up unclip them and roll out . Just ideas to keep from rolling hooks up to . I know they get hung when un rolling but not a big issue .

In NC we have to run the parallel to the bank do I use window weights and floats on each end and run the trot line them . I guess every state is different

What was the "purpose" for the new law made applying to trotlines? .. not that the Lawfaring & Lawcrafty legislators need a purpose or reason , save for making MORE LAWS to have more CONTROL over Our Lives ....................
