I have metal storage drawers, i think they were originally for pantrys or something, but I used them for toys as a kid. Now, they store my games, consoles, and accessories. It's not the most visually pleasing, but it's quite efficient for my needs. Makes it easy to transport too.
Loved the controller storage idea. I find controllers to be beautiful by themselves outside but hideous when there's a ton of them so I like storing them away in a box to keep them outta sight
I'm vertical and alphabetically organized. When it's horizontally, it's cumbersome to get games within the middle and at the bottom with all that weigh pushing down. Once done with the game, it's trying to push the pile up and squeeze in. And then the trying to make it chronologically is another issue to compensate while putting the game in. Space, dirt and functioning systems are the majority of collector's nightmare.
Does any one know the best way to carry loose psp game's? because i don't want them to get scratched and i keep the cases but i dont want to carry the games and there respected case and was wondering if theres something like those "ds 22-24 in 1" game carrying case's Please and thank you
Look around websites like eBay and Amazon for "psp carry case". That's going to be your best option for something similar to the DS 22 in 1. For the loose PSP solution, look on eBay for PSP UMD carrying case. The official cases can be pricey but there should be cheaper ones that can hold 8 games or so. I hope this helps 🙏
I try to organize my collections alphabetically but if I find it easier to sort by genre/series (for comic books/manga in particular), I'll sort it by genre. I keep my games/movies sorted alphabetically and by console/genre while my comic books & manga is just however I find it easier to organize it 😅
@@tvsonicgaming I keep my games, movies and books alphabetical so that it's easier to figure where new stuff goes but for Manga I just keep series next to each other in order of volume but over all the collection has no system, as for records I'll order them by band alphabetically but then I'll organize the bands by release date, for example Metallica comes before Nirvana but Nirvanas Bleach album comes before Nevermind do to the release date of the albums
Very interesting question! I've never used cardboard boxes myself but they can work depending on the size. Maybe put some bubble wrap or a cloth inside the box, so it's not roughing up the games too much. It's PS4/5 games but get a plastic storage bin down the road as an "upgrade".
I'll solve the problem for you. If you have so much shit that just collects dust and you have to invest in that many storage pieces in your home, then save yourself some money and sell it.

Popped in for some ideas, and what's funny is at 5:39 the Body Glove CD case you showed off is the same one I store the few loose BR/DVD discs I own.

Great tips ty!
How do you organize your collection? Alphabetically? By release date? By genre? I'm curious

Just buy a few 4x4s and make it your own. I have mine to the ceiling on both sides of my television.
At 5:00 does anyone know if they fit psp games?
Prob not too big
This might sound dumb but I put all my switch games and my ps5/PS4 games in a cardboard box, is it safe for my game cases to be in a cardboard box?

Does storing games on drawers cause disc rot?
IKEA? I’d rather not have my shelf collapse when a fly pumps into it.
seriously.
It's not the fault of ikea when people can't read PICTURE instructions... 🙈
