I have never been to France and I’m a huge Rolling Stones fan from America, and so actually the first thing I thought of WAS The Rolling Stones making Exile! Great video!
I was just in Nice in September 2023 and stayed at the Best Wester you walked by. That store was at teh end of the maybe 50 feet away from our hotel. I stopped in (as the store was still open) and bout a signed copy of the book, and so glad I did. What an artifact! Also took a day trip to Villefranche-sur-mer and also tried to go to the VIlle Nelle Cote house but there was nothing to see from the outside. But loved the town of VFSM...wonderful 30 min train ride from Nice
Dena again Tim. Loved this! We will definitely want to visit the exhibit. Thanks so much for sharing. I had heard about the Stones at Nellcote but seeing the photos is fascinating. Thanks again!
This is a great video 👍. I just started to watch the videos yesterday, lol I wonder if you could speak french occasionally? Also if you could talk about how you decided to move to your town, Villefranche. Thanks for the videos! Live well!
Just discovered your channel. I’ll be there 1 October I hope this exhibit is still going on. I see there’s gonna be an exhibit in Marseille from June 6 to September . I won’t get there until October 1. Traveling from the US hopefully they’ll let us in
@MeandMonAmi enjoyed the gallery..bought the book that the lady attending is shipping to us after Dominique signs a dedication, over the moon, thanks again for the tip
Anyone who is a Stones fan will think of them when Villefranche Sur Mare is mentioned. Why are you interspersing this with shit music btw? Isn't Exile good enough for you, for a vid about Exile?
More interesting then the album. I’ve never got through that thing. Sleeping pill shoulda been the title. All down the line is the only interesting tune. Basically cause of Taylor’s slide.
SPECTACULAR Rolling Stones Pics…
Exile On Main Street😊
Amazing photos, exile on main street is a master piece. the rolling stones ,they got to be the coolest looking band of all time.
Yup!

So glad you enjoyed VFSM and found the shop!
I think of the Stones as I’m a huge fan & over the years have read up on all that time in their lives.
And amazingly that gallery selling those photos that was a pop up over 2 years ago is still popped up in Nice
Thankz for the Tour forwards the 71's!
Dena again Tim. Loved this! We will definitely want to visit the exhibit. Thanks so much for sharing. I had heard about the Stones at Nellcote but seeing the photos is fascinating. Thanks again!
Thanks Dena! Hopefully still on when you are here.
great stuff
Thanks
That was really interesting. I’d definitely pay that a visit if I were in Nice. Blimey it all goes on in Villefranche! Thanks Tim. 👍
Those days....
Indeed!
The Rolling Stones Forever❤🍺🍷🍹🍸🎸
You forgot about Robert Greenfield. He was there for a good portion of the recording and then was with them on the’72 Tour.
Thanks
Fantastic vlog Tim, a really heart lifter after all the travel ( not) fiascos again in UK - 🙏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
aaaaah! Until September 19th... I'll arrive a week later!
That’s annoying. Maybe they’ve extended?
Interesting . I guess there is a copyright issue about playing Stones tracks but the generic stand-in music is really off the mark.
Yeah the music is absolute shite.
Really good vid 👍👍👌💯🇫🇷
Thanks Carl.

Hope so!
Wasn't the mobile studio name checked in 'Smoke on the water' by Deep Purple?
I don’t know Paul but it sounds very credible!
Yes, it was.
They recorded it on the stones unit yessir. A lot of physical graffiti way also done on this unit. A god tier piece of music history
Any idea where these photos are now Tim ?
Galerie l’instant is still in Nice. The pop up survived!
@@MeandMonAmi great I shall go see them next week ..thanks for that

@@Giantdaz72 How fantastic and thanks for letting me know!
Why not try a fundraiser? 😘 What a great piece to own. Very enjoyable vlog!
Thanks Laura. I may do that (but I think it might have to be to fund the channel in general!)
Read up & down with The Rolling Stones by Tony Sanchez- the stories of their stay there were hysterical
Thanks for tip off
Sanchez was a liar and felon. Richards who admits everything he did said that Tony’s book was fantasyland
I had Up/Down at school forty years ago ; every kid borrowed it!
Any idea where the exhibit is currently displayed?
I think it was a temporary exhibition but the gallery/shop is still there
Photos : Dominique Tarlé. Vérité : Robert Greenfield
one man had access? looking at the pictures in the pallenberg film and her stories tell a different story
Don’t see gram. P There maybe he was kicked out the circle & the photos 😮

Have you heard of copyright?
Copyright??
@@MeandMonAmi
Yeah, I've also heard of music that isn't shit as well.
The music on this is shit.
Someone is in dire need of some dental work. Doctor Glimmer Twins, with an office on Main Street perhaps?
More interesting then the album. I’ve never got through that thing. Sleeping pill shoulda been the title. All down the line is the only interesting tune. Basically cause of Taylor’s slide.
That’s funny. I tried and failed too!
Thats sad for you
It’s their best work and a top 5 all time rock album. If you can’t get into it you are not a blues rock fan
It's a masterpiece...2nd only to Sticky Fingers
