I pack everything for a beach resort/Mexico vacay.....but for a 10 day trip to Italy I managed with one carry on.....I was very proud of myself for that! Your choices are awesome!

As I get older I find packing needs to be easier and lighter. One carryon suitcase with 4 roller wheels and packing cubes is a must. I carry a large tote handbag and this includes my wallet, jewelry, medicine, masks and extra undies(2-3 pairs). Believe me when I say it makes the trip much more enjoyable when you are not toting too much stuff. I keep reading on travel that you wear the heaviest stuff on the plane(such as jeans/boots/your cardigan). I did this and it gave me more room in my carryon for another outfit. I do that too! And I have the same travel outfit going and returning. I still overpack but it has been about 3 years since I’ve traveled so things may have changed. 😉💕
I love these outfits. This video is giving me ideas on how to pack light for my 2 week trip to Ireland this summer. I probably wouldn't pack white pants because I'm likely to sit on something or spill tea on myself and white shows everything hahaha! I also love those Obi belts, I'm definitely getting one of those.
When my boys were 15 and 17 we did a 16 day trip to Italy in Spain where we changed hotels every 2 days and our rule was that we each had to carry our own luggage no matter if we were on a plane, train, car, etc. So the kids used their school backpacks and my husband and I got eBags luggage that were like a cross between a backpack and a suitcase, which were wonderful. We've since used these bags on every single trip. I've never packed heavy again after that. Even on that trip I had stuff I didn't wear and it made me learn how to travel with less makeup, less shoes, less of everything. The extras are simply not needed and it's freeing to not have them to manage.

Hi Oralia, thanks for the ideas. All were cute outfits. I loved the concept, but question the white pants. I suppose linen ones would wash & dry faster, but white does show soil quickly. Maybe I'd choose 2 pair of white in different lengths.
I can see that. I think it depends on what you plan to do. I’m all about relaxing, shopping, and trying new restaurants - pretty casual kinds of things. 😃💕
The outfits are beautiful, I don’t dress this way on vacation, summer vacation means, swimming,hiking, shorts tank tops, flip flops, hiking shoes, back pack, water bottle
I also pack very light. There was a time in my life where I had to travel for work and be gone a week at a time. I learned a lot from that experience. Packing light also allows for bringing back some incredible finds! I’m so happy for you and Angies upcoming trip! Aloha!

Airline fees for bags are causing everyone to pack more sensibly. I am going on a trip this summer and instead of taking five bathing suits, I am only taking one. I am taking clothes that are mostly black and white so my shoes/sandals will be interchangeable, thus reducing the number I pack. I am only taking one purse, which will go with everything. Hopefully, I can pack it all in my medium size suitcase. ✈I do like packing cubes, they seem to make more room in a suitcase for other items. Can't wait to watch your vacation-packing video and see if you pack in modules. Good luck!☘
I know! I’m going to try and economize shoes and bags. I have too many pretty dresses and there will likely be a few outfit changes a day. I know I’m extra but the photo ops out there are too irresistible. 😳😆💕
Great video. So now I know what a module is, three tops, two bottoms and an outer layer. Can you describe a capsule in the same way? I sure would appreciate it as it will give me a great guideline to follow as I plan and shop. Thank you
I always describe capsules as 5 or 6 modules that work together. Another way to approach it is to have a set number of garments that will work together, depending on the situation. For travel, I would say 10 pieces; for regular life, it's around 33. But you can bend the rules to suit your life. I'll try and work a capsule wardrobe video in soon. 😉
