We’re hardwired on both gender sides to want the best genes, and the general idea of attractiveness is due to positive genetic markers like symmetry. there’s social pressure and social credit/respect if you can show off a very attractive partner so people then care what others think. On rare occasions these guys cut the bit at the right time and it’s hilarious. Most the time they stretch it far beyond its limits and hang onto it for dear life hoping to increase the effect while simultaneously consuming and filling as much time as humanely possible. Not funny and kills a potentially good bit. This is one of those times.
