The misogyny is a bit much though the men have these women in these onesided relationships. My hope is the show strengthens their marriages and helps make them self aware enough to improve and honor these women more. I love looking at successful black people like this.
I love this show! I had no idea that Huntsville, Alabama had such prominent black couples, who are great real estate, credit repair, construction and foreclosure building professionals. These moguls are making all of us proud. Successful, educated and smart. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Would be so proud that you all put Alabama on the map for black positivity.
Thank you Oprah, there is truly a God!!! Black women have always been holding it down, but since the entertainment industry has decided that 'Black women' are not 'valued. it's refreshing to see Black women doing what they have always been doing, moving forward and holding things down. There was a time in life when Black women were made to feel and believe they were worthy to be heard, seen and or appreciated, and with this show, as well as, Married to Medicine, Black women are delivering. I came from a strong background of proud working class Black women in my family and in my community. I not use to seeing Black women not moving in some capacity to work hard and take care of their business. Now mind you, we are not perfect and we know that, but many and I do mean many, Black women strives daily to do the very best they can do. It is a pleasure to see these very inspirational women, on the show, on the talk shows, podcasts and hopefully, back on the commercials! Yep, I mean commercials, as the main networks, movies and shows, believe that every Black man must have a white woman to be his mate instead of a Black woman. The media has been sending a message for a longtime that Black women and Black men cannot be a successful couple in dating, marriage and have a healthy thriving relationship. So, whenever I see other couples with their same race mate and the Black man is with someone other than a Black woman, I hit the remote! There's a commercial out now with families and couples and they all have the same race mates, expect the Black woman, she's the only one without a husband, raising her daughter and could not get a loan! See what I mean, the media continues to send and portray Black women as being negative and unsuccessful and always alone. So, thank you for this show and I look forward to watching their continued success.
i find the show very embarrassing they all are completely treated like trash by their husbands and keep going back for more. They are like abused women. not a good look

Latisha is a sweetheart. But she's very intelligent. I hope one day she can do it all and keep her marriage strong. Melody's hair kills all. Perfect hair style for her face.
Love the show. I’ve seen lost of couples like the Scotts and typically, when the husband acts like Latisha’s husband, it’s due to insecurity. He’s afraid she’ll do better than him if she works outside the home, and is the kind of man who would resent her success. Sad but true. Witnessed this pattern multiple times. It’s always about insecurity. The way he talks down to her (like a child) and tries to keep her demoralized is all an effort to keep her less successful and dependent on him. If she never builds anything for herself, she’ll have to rely on him and he’ll always be able to control her b/c he can’t threaten her with taking away what he’s providing. He does not treat her as if her work as a stay-at-home mother is important or that he appreciates her for it. His ego comes first and she seems afraid of him. Even her response about how he treats her had elements of her fear in it. With his quick temper and negative attitude, I can understand why.

He's not supportive of her working but claims that he wants her to.get her real estate license. Why? For What? Clearly he doesn't want her to actually use it. I watch you guys every Saturday, Melanie, I give you great plus for hanging in there with your husband. I am an old 62 year old now, My ex was from Trinidad, and we both worked at IBM. Beside working, I had to cook, clean, iron, cut the grass, wash the both cars, take the kids to all activities and he laid home and watched tv when not working. I was tired from doing this and because there was no time much for sex, he went outside of the marriage for many years and he also gave me infections, after putting up with it for 25 years, I divorced him. My point for saying this is, I hope you and your husband stay together and please make more time for love making for him, they need that. Hire some else to do the work, he delegated to you, I heard you say that on the show. You both are good looking couple together, smart. Stay at home mom, I heard your husband say, you and him both agreed to you being a stay at home mom. Its very important to home school your children, nourish them, because the outside system will not. Believe it or not, money is great, but nurturing your children are more important than money. The show is decent. It's nice to see successful black couples doing their thing as a family/ friends unit..My concern is that over time it will prove to be yet another typical drama fueled reality show..thriving on nonsense to get ratings and stay on tv. I could do without the unnecessary drama myself but it seems that shows that don't have a high dosage of fighting, and folks acting a fool don't seem to last very long. I'm not convinced that Huntsville is as interesting and they try to make it out to be but that's neither here nor there. So far so good.. PS.. not feeling brother who appears to be very chauvinistic at all..
If this show makes it to six years I don’t think Mrs Holden or Holten marriage is gonna last. History shows that reality tv breaks marriages that has unresolved issues such as infidelity.
Why not? Attorneys represent their clients but ask the other party questions to get more information. Stop acting like cheaters or criminals are forthcoming with confessions or information. Maybe she wanted to cross reference the information as she was processing the ordeal.

The show is decent. It's nice to see successful black couples doing their thing as a family/ friends unit..My concern is that over time it will prove to be yet another typical drama fueled reality show..thriving on nonsense to get ratings and stay on tv. I could do without the unnecessary drama myself but it seems that shows that don't have a high dosage of fighting, and folks acting a fool don't seem to last very long. I'm not convinced that Huntsville is as interesting and they try to make it out to be but that's neither here nor there. So far so good..

Why not? Attorneys represent their clients but ask the other party questions to get more information. Stop acting like cheaters or criminals are forthcoming with confessions or information. Maybe she wanted to cross reference the information as she was processing the ordeal.
