Hopefully they use some of that money for programs for homeless youths or drug rehabilitation programs.
If they confiscate money it goes back to their personal police department to be used as they feel necessary.
The orange shirt is good if you go in the woods, or like when jogging at night.

Probably police arrested a bloke and found stolen stuff in his home. Stores won’t take it back then. They have instance that pays them for loss (which includes theft). Cheers.

Good mystery box. You did really well and it all looks good on you. However, the whole concept of the police selling stuff strikes me as totally bizarre. I did wonder if you were going to get a set of slightly used kitchen knives and maybe a garden shovel - just my macabre imagination!

Hmm a police department profiting from confiscated stolen merchandise. I get the store doesn't want it back and I'm assuming the case is over and they are just ridding the evidence room of stuff they don't need to hold onto, but it should be donated not sold for profit!

Don't know what country you're in, but here it's illegal to buy, sell, or receive stolen goods. And the cops cannot sell, take, or give away stuff that's been confiscated. Even if it is just clothing.

Here in The US it's legal for the police to have seized asset auctions if the owner doesn't come forward and claim the item within a set amount of time
the cops in some states can take anything they want from you for simply pulling you over. Arizona and Michigan are both big for that. they take anything and everything they want no questions asked there's lots of body can videos of them talking about confiscating things they personally want and what would be the most expensive stuff to take. this is nothing new.

my guess is - somebody went shopping then forgot their bags and left them on a bus or something .....and they didn't get claimed so the police sold them on
People steal from the poundshops aswell. They mainly steal to fund drink or drug addictions. They steal everything from joints of meat to packs.of razors. Anything they can sell quickly.
