Notice Randy’s eyes when singing about the “long black train” they tend to move back and forth rapidly at times. That’s either nystagmus or guilt; probably both. I can’t say anything as I drink more than I should. But I’ve been a fan of both Randy and Josh for a long time and as of today (02/09/2021) for the first time seeing them play together and knowing Randy Travis’s future I can’t help but think Josh was sent by God to try to nudge Randy in the right direction. God is all around us all the time and sometimes it takes a long time and some poor decisions for us to see it. I’m thankful I got to realize it before Randy did.

I remember Randy Travis producing an album about 30 years which consisted of a series of duets. He sang with George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Roy Rogers, and even Clint Eastwood. That album was really great. Randy Travis has never lost his touch. It appears that he has proven to be an inspiration for other musicians
I guess I haven't thought of it this way but this song is an illustration about the daily struggle a lot of Christians go through, I know I do, it's hard staying off that train at times, but we all know that there is nothing but anger and despair and guilt on that train but we get off and know there is a Father who loves us and will help burn that ticket because there is Victory in the Lord Almighty
