I just subscribed today and I love how these are real rooms with real clutter - something I can relate to. I got motivated to just get up & start using your techniques. Thanks!
I love all her eclectic storage! That is what I’m doing for my storage too, replacing plastic with antique or interesting artistic pieces. Also, donating craft supplies that I had for my “fantasy” self. I’m working on allowing myself grace, discovering what craft is my true passion and letting others go. 💗
This is amazing and you deserve to give yourself some grace. It sounds like you are really figuring out what you love and being able to let go of the rest is amazing 💛 You go girl!
Woah...that is a lot of craft supplies!! This person has some very cool vintage pieces but clearly, way too much stuff. It can become anxiety producing to see so much and exhausting to declutter it. But the two of you are doing great!! I am getting ready for my big declutter and reorganize in a few weeks. I don't have as much as this person but it needs a good purge/tidy. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow! I am so excited to see the end result of all the hard word the two of you have put in. I am so very jealous of what looks to be a custom cubby wall - I really want one myself. I can only imagine how excited she must be to get back into her space to start making again (any chance she wants to share some of her projects at a later date??). Thank you for sharing this - not only has it made me rethink my making space, but the care with which you’ve handled your clients personal situation without judgement is a credit to you. Sharing that with someone else is a big deal, but then to be ok to share it with the whole world online is something else. Bravo to you both x
I love all the positivity in this comment 💛 I am not going to lie the cubby wall is going to take time to adjust to. We have spent a lot of time laughing because there are so many drawers we can’t remember where everything is. Even with the labels 🤣 She loves crafting channels herself so maybe in the future she will come on and share some of her crafts. I will have to put the bug in her ear
@@robindawncreations don’t know if this will help with the cubbies, but if you can use an image below the label that may help make it more user friendly - especially when there are a lot of cubbies. Looking for what the thing is may be easier than looking for the word… especially if the creative juices are flowing and you just want to get started!
@@MissJess87ica I love this idea! I can’t believe I didn’t think of this! Thank you for the suggestion, I will pass it onto her and see what she thinks 🤗
Hello 👋 I’m new here and I really Loved watching this video. So satisfying to see how you organize everything. I would love to have a craft room, I actually used to have one, but then I had four kids so no longer room for it 😅 great video, thanks for sharing! 💖
Thank you for joining! Haha maybe you can have a craft caddy instead. Unless your kids are at ages where you would end up with glue or something all over that walls 🤣
I find that a lot of creative people have both a distorted sense of space and a distorted sense of time. If I were locked in that craft room and tasked with completing a craft project every single day for 10 years, I would still have supplies left over. Be realistic about your available crafting time.
This is all part of her process. I have said many times that decluttering is like layers of an onion. There will be many more passes through this room. As she sees the space she can have and her projects and supplies get put together, she will be able to decluttering further. We have to start making her space and letting her visually see what she has. It is important to remember everyone has a unique story and I will share more about her in coming up videos. Not everything is as simple or easy as it sounds. I will say I have also made this comment to her in a funny and supportive way as she is a very important human to me and I know when I can give her a push.
Wow, that was completely overwhelming to me! I like when you explain what you do first, second, etc to start to make a dent. One problem I have is that the places I may want to put stuff (closet, cubby, drawer) are already full of other stuff, so I actually have to start there. What do you do??
Honestly Ann, it is completely overwhelming and I just wing it most of the time! What has been working so far for us in this house is to make piles/boxes. We also struggle with the lack of space, knowing where she wants things to end up and not being able to get them there yet. We decide on what area or room we are going to tackle and complete it start to finish without moving onto the next area until the first is complete. When we do this, any items that are going to a new area but we cannot put them there yet go in a box for when we do work on that area. Getting the room we set out to do finished is motivating and encouraging, keeping the overwhelming feelings at bay. We can also get a better idea of how much stuff needs to be decluttered to get the next room to function how she wants. I hope this helps!
I get rid of craft supplies if they haven't been used in a year or so. I only keep small amounts of various supplies. Colors and color schemes seem to change every few years. I have a plastic jar of ribbon, one for beads, one for buttons, etc. Some people enjoy shopping for supplies. I try not to buy anything new. Tina, Al's wife
If you ever need to purge...here ya go. I need crafting supplies. I would buy them. I had a leg amputated last month and I'm going through a divorce after 29 years together soooo...I need something to do to keep my mind off everything. I hate being immobile 😢
Absolutely! Thank you for the reminder. I feel like I have been all over the map lately, especially with my daughter being on and off sick. I need a nap lol
So glad you are tackling this! Obviously, she couldn't work in here....so soo much stuff! Thank you for this!
Glad it was helpful!
Going through rooms multiple times is a must. I start to feel so good, I want less. Less is more 💜
Yes! Less is more!

Wow. She has a lot of crafts. Very over. Whelming I am sure. Can’t wait to see the end results

Great job so far
I really enjoyed this video. I have also watched and enjoyed the videos of de-cluttering at your home. Great job.
I am glad you love them! I put a lot of effort into these videos because I love doing it so it is nice to know people are enjoying them 💛

Btw I subscribed under my son's name here and under my name Kimberly, too
Get some rest! Remember JOLT- just one little thing. If you don't get something done today, so what. Decluttering 1square foot of space is procress.
Absolutely! Thank you for the reminder. I feel like I have been all over the map lately, especially with my daughter being on and off sick. I need a nap lol
I love doing crafts, but since my daughter died, it's like I've forgot what crafts to do 😟 (it sounds weird I know) x
Did you all do this in 1 day??
joga tudo isso no lixo
