Are the Minnesota Vikings legitimate Super Bowl contenders?

I can't believe we're asking this question three weeks into what was supposed to be a mediocre season, but the Vikings' play demands the attention of Michael Rand and La Velle E. Neal III from the Minnesota Star Tribune.

as a fan since they played the Browns in the NFL playoffs (68 or 69), i say no, they will never win the big one
