I don't have an audio podcast yet but it's on my TO-DO list. I really need to Post a "Latinos Over 40 Who Are We" intro video first. Currently building my UA-cam Studio... I'm prepping the walls and just about ready to paint. I'm also working on my own UA-cam Content Distribution system using Facebook Groups and Pages and Zapier (I have over 400 Groups and over 400 Pages) ... Love your videos amigos ... keep them coming !!!!
Thanks for this video sharing tips on how to start a video podcast. It's something I have been planning for a while now. A natural progression to an audio podcast.😊🎙
I have a question that may or may not get answered: how do you set up the recording and editing workflow when you have three voices and are all recorded through Riverside? How would you set up the video editing portion so all the speakers get the chance to be on camera?
Hi Veronica, Will Discript also be able to do dictate and/or translations in Afrikaans, the language of South Africa, or, does it only work through the medium of English??
Can i use my phone to record the video and record the audio through an audio interface? Im running into issues combining them and they both need editing
Yes. Some people use multiple phones for multiple camera angles. The biggest issue we run into with using phones (especially for long recordings) is file sharing. It can take FOREVER to get those files off your phone onto a computer. This frustration alone usually makes people upgrade to a camera with an SD card pretty quick. Thanks for the question! When are you thinking of launching your show?
I'm really really thinking about starting a podcast but I don't have a good phone .can I use my Desktop computer to start my podcast until I'm able to get equipment ❤ Thank you 🥰
Love this video! We have the Sony a7III and a7IV and have issues recording longer than 30 minutes with the a7III. How do you overcome the video recording limit for your video podcast?
Thanks. Yes, we have that issue too. What we have done is to set a timer for 29 mins. And we start a 'second take'. Studio Steve has been trying to keep our episodes short, so he thinks a hard 30-minute cut-off is a good guideline. But we usually always have 2 takes 🤣. I know that some people will capture the output of the camera to an external recording device or a cloud based service. You can also use a screen recording software and record the camera to your harddrive.
Some thoughts on this: You need a good place to record video and at least some good equipment to make the video look good. It takes a lot more time to produce than an audio podcast. This seems to be the biggest hurdle. And even a well-made video podcast is no guarantee of success on UA-cam. My favourite podcast, which I listen to every week, has well over a million downloads, but it doesn't even come close to that on UA-cam. And as a user, I very rarely consume that particular podcast on UA-cam. In fact I listen to all podcasts via the podcast app on my phone (which would be Pocket Casts).
It’s strange how UA-cam doesn’t push your videos. I’m astonished that you don’t have more than 1% of your subscribers viewing your videos nowadays. Is UA-cam shadow banning your channel ?
Do you currently have an audio podcast!? Are you thinking of going video? What's holding you back?

Can i use my phone to record the video and record the audio through an audio interface? Im running into issues combining them and they both need editing
Yes you can, if you know how to put both video and audio together again with an editing software.

@@juanitawilliams2134 you don’t need your phone. Use your desktop and get yourself a microphone, and a pair of headphones.

You can also switch the angle to the A7IV and have someone stop and record again on the A7III and the viewer will never know the wiser
Do you have an editor that you can recommend?
I do. Go to our website
How about using our iPhones to record? It's a start, no? Thanks for your videos.
