If my leg were hiked up that tight, I would get a terrible leg cramp. I think that is why the bull was fighting towards the end. He is really velvety and shiny. So beautiful. ❤️

Despite the difficulties I thought that went well. :-) I love the honesty in your videos, Tom - they're not edited and censored to put a positive, heroic 'spin' on proceedings. Stuff happens; stuff gets done; that's farming. For all his discomfort and longer-term problems (a broken tail? Poor guy!) Neptune showed great patience with his handling; he seems to have a sweet nature and clearly trusts you - nobody got crushed, clobbered or crippled, which is always a good sign. 10 days after the trimming and his footbath he did indeed look 100% better. Bravo. Also: moo! I can see why people might wonder why you don't invest in some new kit, but I bet they run 'money is no object' fantasy farms. Splashing out £50,000 or whatever on a new crush for the sake of one (albeit lovely) bull makes no sense. Far better to call on the Hoof GP and keep him sweet with cups of tea and packets of biscuits and some flattering editing... Just kidding. He does excellent work all by himself. And that's no 'bull'!

You should check out the videos out there on the carbonacious diaper flooring for your inside areas. The sloppy slippery floors can be both a biohazard for the cows, as well as a slip/fall injury causing issue. Literally just throw down some straw on the cement floor. When it gets sloppy again, put down more straw. Lawyers will build up, and it will stop stinking. At that point, you can harvest it all and sell as compost.
