  • Hello everyone!
In this video, take an in-depth tour of the 1970s castle-inspired house my grandmother ("Grandy" 🤍) helped design and won in her divorce in the late 80s.
    ABOUT THE HOUSE:
My grandpa, Wally Wright, was a developer by trade with a keen ability to find value in salvaged materials. This house and many of his other development projects were created primarily using recycled goods, a history that Grandy explains more in-depth in this video.
I'm excited to share this glimpse into my family's story and introduce you to one of my favorite humans!
    Details mentioned in this video:
    0:40 Foyer
    1:18 Art tour
    2:226 Great Room
    6:44 Spiral Staircase
    7:41 Incorporating Antiques
    8:17 Dining Room
    10:58 Loft
    11:45 Upstairs bedrooms
    16:25 Balcony
    17:20 Bar area
    19:27 Flying machine art installation
    21:59 Front doors
Let me know if you have any questions, and I can check with my grandma and share a follow-up.
Support my channel by shopping my small business (ArchiveSunday.com) and following me on TikTok and Instagram (@sashaesloan).
Xoxo- don’t let the muggles get you down!

@@annanardo2358 Well something may have happened that was not shared. She has lived a long life and appears truly content whatever occurred years ago. She has a tremendous amount of pleasure and lovely memories by the sounds of this video. Thank you so much for showing your unique built castle full to the brim of historic treasures and furniture. I love all the quirky ideas and the way you and your husband incorporated them into your domain. I would have loved to see the kitchen and also outside in your landscape/ garden areas. Wishing you all the best wishes. Deb in north east of England.

I love how she started off explaining the truth- her long time husband left her, but what a happy ending she gets to share with her family! My mother also had 6 children and ended up divorced as well, but her home is filled with memories of us and our children. This house is a treasure. Perfectly curated and loved. It is so beautiful and unique. I'm glad she still loves everything she chose back in the 70's and 80's. You're lucky to have that home in your family.

What an absolutely fascinating house, and so lovely and so beautiful as much as the owner was beautiful and so lovely. I was absolutely enchanted with her tails of days, gone by and how they acquired things, and especially respect her love of the arts. I could probably actually guarantee that without this lady, the house may not of been anywhere near as interesting and beautiful as it is.

Absolutely we are going to be moving towards a phase where people stop remodeling houses and restore them. I saw a beautiful house that needed some restoration, I couldn’t afford it even though it’s sold for 200,000 cash, by people that flipped it cheaply and sold it for 700,000 absolutely destroying all the character that made it amazing. 😩

Just an example the green carpeting is perfect for this house, they still do sell green carpeting, I would probably replace the carpeting with equal green carpeting. I hope this family keeps this house rich with history.

Oh to have a grandparent's house like this to grow up and bond with the cousins and families over the holidays even if you live far apart is the most luckiest thing a person can have.. if you have or had grandparents house where you'd go spend your childhood weekends or summer or Christmas holidays you're so lucky and i envy all of you.. oh i could only imagine the stories and memories you guys made over the summer holidays or the Christmas eve dinner 🤍

Nothing short of impressive. The stained glass ceiling is so beautiful, and the piece of furniture from Spain is stunning. Love this home tour. It truly does have a the markings of a castle, yet feels like home. Hugs from NSL, Utah 🥰

What an outstanding home. Tears came into my eyes when you said how your husband left you as that is exactly what happened to me but I had been married 37 years which is a lifetime. I also have a beautiful home and I have developed a hobby for antiquing. You give me inspiration to move on.
