It’s all about dat bass. Ale making it look spectacularly easy…❤
Pau’s transition from sticks to brushes back to sticks….smooth!
She actually started with a brush, then sticks, then brush and back to sticks. First time for me. Awesome!
Until a couple of years ago, when they started touring heavily, they were constantly working on vocals, instruments, stage presence, etc. with coaches and teachers for years. Pau mentioned in an interview that they would come back from school and would spend 5 hours a day, every day practicing, so that's tens of thousands of hours, plus you add to this over 250 shows in the last 3 years, including tours with Halestorm, Three Days Grace and especially a couple of stadium size tours with Muse, where they acted like sponges and now you understand why they are as good as they are. 🤯
They all killed this. Ale making that bass line look so easy.🤘🤘
Somewhat of a full circle moment as well. The Warning opened for Foo Fighters shortly before Taylor Hawkins' death, Taylor played drums for Alanis on the Jagged Little Pill album tour.
Exact comments I made on another reaction!
@@northof4912 Then we're on the same page. lol Haven't seen your comment, I'll just take your word for it.
I've made a similar comment on several reactions.
@ It’s an interesting connection! I went back and looked at the hallway interaction between the girls and Taylor and Dave. Literally days before Taylor passed.
What can you say?🤷♂️ They kill everything that they do, the Midas touch!!!🥇👸💛⚡️
Liked this song many many years ago.....NOW I love this song, thanks Ladies, not surprising you could upgrade this one. Dany's vocals are off the charts fantastic, Ale's incredible Jazz riffs on the bass proves she is one of the very best, and the Matrix Trinity (Pau) just laying down some seriously chill percussion, way way way to much talent in one room here. Cheers brother, excellent reaction.
Yes Dani is from another vocal world- glad she stopped by our raggedy-ass planet to bless us with her vocals. Another great reaction GP42- thank you for your support- TWA thanks you.
They crushed it!! They did several other of their songs while there. Promotion? They have a couple songs on SiriusXM-Octane(HYCAD, Sick & More) already.
Love Ale's bass lines and runs throughout and as you mentioned, Dani absolutely killed it - brilliant cover. Thx for the reaction man.
Two words....Nailed IT!
This set was 20-25 minutes long. They did 4 or 5 songs mostly from the new album.
It was 6 of their songs and then the cover.
And the entire set, Ale just sat on that stool without a care in the world and did what she does. Amazing!
You need to hear (and feel) this through a decent sound system; Alé’s Bass line doing such an amazing emulation of Flea, rattles the windows at our house and you really feel it just as much as hear it!
Pau, being Pau up for anything and making an amazing job of it, the change to and from brush in her right hand was seamless so good!
Dany, jeez taking over Alanis and Dave Navaro’s parts and nailing them both 🤯
I’ve been listening to this possibly too many times now, it’s just so good 😂
I am gonna have to play this on my car. It has an amazing sound system. I played Dust to Dust the other day and I hear every note of Ale's bass. I usually listen on my phone and it rarely picks up the deep bass sounds.
Pau’s favorite breakup song! She plays with brushes for the first time; and Ale’s bass line; and Dany’s voice. And that melodic guitar!
This is a testament to their absolute mastery of their art. This one shot studio recording is album-worthy.
Agreed, this should be in their next studio album!!
Ale bass line is tasty with my bose earphones!
I can't stop watching this cover. Alanis Morissette's version is classic rock from the 1990s. When I first saw this, I hoped she was listening to the cover! To me, this has Steely Dan quality musicianship. It's so tight, clean, crisp, balanced, and precise. Ale shows off her jazz bass skills here. It's tastefully restrained until it's time to belt it out as a straight ahead rock song. They make it look easy, but it's not! The dripping sarcasm and angst of the original is perfectly on point. But contrast the message and tone of this song with their own breakup song, *Survive.* One's a psychotic, screaming outburst at the new couple while they're having dinner - probably in a restaurant. The other is a "Get lost, I'll be fine," Broadway show tune message that ends in a hopeful, upbeat jam.
What kills me, is that as I've watched them over the years get better and better, and yes, you're absolutely on the money, the vocals are getting insanely better all the time, Ale's bass (while totally chilling, hang on the stool like it's just another day watching a sunset)l always is precise and on the rail, but what they do the most for me anyway is they also elevate; they elevate themselves, and at the same time they elevate my listening and my musical brain to hear better how good they are. It's like a funnel into my brain and somebody's just pouring maple syrup in; they're just smooth as hell. Really insanely fun and satisfying to listen to. I am so happy they are still doing it, having fun, and just slaying everything they do. Rock on, ladies, you own hearts and minds.
This is the chillest I have ever seen Pau. The sunglasses indoors… just vibing and singing along to herself. Ale, covering Flea’s bass work and giving a masterclass in tasteful playing, at 19 no less. And Dany doing impossible Dany things. "Cover Dave's guitar and sing like Alanis? You got it!"
Matrix-mode Pau, Ale reminding us she was the girl who could play Pastorius basslines at 12, and Dany is absolutely next level!
Love your reactions...nearly choked with laughter at your "Holy Shit!" at the end!!
There are a bunch more of their songs they did in this session, and each was slayed.
Yep, better and better and better. True musical craftsmanship. Support!!❤
These ladies are the future of Rock music.
Dany killed that chorus, revived it and killed it again, just to prove a point. 🤯
Now that the tour is over, they can have fun doing covers in The Warning's way... Nailing it... Styling it... Rocking it out as we have always come to expect from these Musical Angels. God Bless Dany, Pau, and the Silent Assassin Ale... Mic Drop!!
Those huge belts by Dany during the chorus are insanely perfect. All musicality. No screeching. Everyone shines in this clip. Well done, DPA!
If that's not crushing it, then I don't know what is! Amazing cover!
Dany absolutely Crushed it, and Pau was feeling it also (Paulina's favorite breakup song), but Ale... Thunder Goddess strikes again !!!
⚡Viva The WARNING⚡
NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
They are beautiful ladies for sure🔥❤
DPA, The Warning just make everything better! 🤘⚡️🫶🇲🇽
Dany is easily the best live female vocalist around at the moment, and she’s definitely getting even better , her live vocal range is incredible ⚡️👏🏼
And a vocalist who can, simultaneously, play guitar with the best of them!
Someone said “A safe place is good, but nothing grows there.” They always are learning, experimenting, and exploring. I didn’t realize Flea played the original bass line. And, Dave Navarro the guitar. 🤷♂️ Ale makes it look easy to play a great bassist’s part! 🤘🕊❤️⚡️⚡️⚡️
I'm sorry Alanis Morisette, The Warning CRUSHED this!!
Why sorry? Having another successful artist cover your work is an extreme form of flattery.
@northof4912 Because The Warning covered it better than Alanis
@ Well, Alanis didn’t cover it. And - no. Sorry, they did a fantastic version of their own but it’s not better.
@@northof4912I’m going to check out Alanis’s live version, I’ll be back. Is that cool Northo? Unless you wanna attach the link to Alanis’s live version here? 😬😬
Ale is plucking the 5th string too
Holy shit! Great description. They get that quite often.
❤️⚡🤘 As always, you rock!
great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They absolutely slayed this.
They would probably make one helluva good jazz trio, I think, if they wanted to go in that direction. They are rock stars. But they are also professional musicians to the core.
You've got to remember that Dany, Pau and Ale are probably never running at full tilt, in terms of putting every ounce of their talent on display. They have a huge reservoir that they tap into, when it is needed, but there's an amazing amount more that we've yet to see - the stuff that they keep in the dark, while they work out new sounds, concepts, riffs, etc. They're all true masters of their craft and are probably at least 700% better than anything we've yet seen.
They absolutely killed that. They do seem to get better every time I hear this ladies sing a song I’ve never heard them do.
Dany crushed this
There is nothing to criticize about this cover, knowing their nature/morals. It is indeed PERFECT.
This is Pau's favorite break up song. So it was only a matter of time before they cover it.
Alanis, of course, is the best, but...she wasn't playing guitar. Flea did the original bass lines, and Ale absolutely crushed it.
I ran out of adjectives a long time ago. 🤘😎⚡
They should release this as a single !
I've seen Alanis 3 times...But man Dany friggin killed this!! Of course with help from Pau and Ale! As for the change of lyrics...Mama Warning wasn't gonna have it...ya know after Consume.
lyrics? intelligently done, as The Warning are inspirational for young'ns , little girls especially, i think it's right. Dany's facial expressions were outta sight,, as we heard in AH 2 she can be fierce,,right, Rudy?
It's likely to satisfy Sirius XM, too. Yes, it's satellite radio, but it's not like all their channels drop F-bombs all day long. The "You greedy little f*cker… line in *Consume* was aptly placed. Of course, Pau is the rebel who gets to sing that!
@@TeemarkConvair Sorry, I'm not getting the reference: AH 2 and the connection to Rudy. Was there a video or story or something?
@@MarkBtvd i suspect that AH 2 is the 2nd Allison Hagendorf interview... in one part, of the hour long session, they talked about things they didn't like, IIRC... Dany doesn't *_NOT_* like to be tickled... apparently Rudy has found out the hard way 😉😹
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
@@WaldoKitty Ah, yes. Makes sense. It's been a while since I listened to either of those interviews. On my list to relisten, but I do remember something about tickling and Dany. Thanks!
they are fantastic on many levels
Oh… mygoodness! There isn't a weak position in this band. Every spot is definitely filled with the appropriate musician. I know Ale is a good musician. I haven't seen her most spectacular moment… I know. This wasn't her piece to call her own… but damn. Nobody can see this & believe she didn't murder it to death. Flawless… and did you see her face? It wasn't a huge load. WHEN DO THEY PRACTICE THIS STUFF?
If you wanna talk about a veteran professional that can take on 50 tasks at once… talk about Pau switching from brushes to stick with such fluidity!
Dany playing dave's guitar part & singing like ALANIS MORISSETTE! Come on, now?
Combined or individual… their talent & beauty!
10 billion $$ band!
Head over heels for Dany!
Ale crushing and showing homage to Flea's bass line! I wish they would've cranked it up a bit. Dani- goddess as always- and Pau so slick!!!! Now... put on Alice In Chains "Would". I want to hear Ale and Pau do that opening and then Dani break into the octave stratosphere matching Layne Staley. Jerry would be proud, too.
@DonMusic enhanced the instruments. It sounds amazing. Check it out!!
They are fearless and boundless.
Dany SLAYED this!!! ⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘 You should check out "Queen of the Murder Scene" Live from TEATRO. May be their heaviest song in their catalog.
Clearly the girls are fans of this song and I am sure they respect Alanis for really pushing female led rock music during one of the greatest eras for rock music. That is the great thing about DPA, they are full of love, humility and gratitude. Just great to see in this in the Rock genre in general. This performance really shows the breadth musical competency we are dealing with here. First time seeing Pau playing with brushes, Ale hitting all those strings and what can I say about Dany....my goodness? They just keep surprising us and I love it!!!
I still can’t pick up my jaw off the floor after this one HFS! Danyssasin just committed murder. Ale was a major accomplice…holy hell, these ladies! Pau with the cool lurk in the back. Dude your reactions are exactly how i am feeling , awesome job!
More talent in her little finger than in my entire (insert noun here) ! 🤟🎸🥁🎸🤟
Even though this is almost a carbon copy of Alanis's original, The Warning still manage to put their unique twist on everything they do. From Ale's funky little bass to Dany's unreal vocal (and guitar) work, they they put 110% into everything they touch... and it shows! Pau just chilling in the back with her sunglasses and fantastic delivery. Dany's guitar tone is amazing, and Ale pulling it all together with that jazzy/funk bass line. It just works sooo well!😎🎵🎶👍👍👍
Dany ⚡️ 📌 🔨 on 🎤
Pau 😎 chilling
Ale 🤘 on 🎸
Of all the covers they done. I would love to have this one on a CD/Vinyl. Heard this cover about 25 times & not tired of it.
Dany knocked it out of the park, and I don't care what size the park is.
The thing tha Amazes me is they do it with ease
I would love to know who their vocal coach is. We talk a lot about their musical instrument teachers, but not much is known about their formal vocal training. I say ¨their¨ because Pau has shown she has an amazing voice and range also. I´m sure Ale has had vocal training also, but it´s harder to tell since she doesn´t like to sing lead.
A pity Ale doesn't like to sing more... she has that smoky jazz/blues kind of voice.
Interestingly, I read that Flea's bass line for the original had to be significantly worked over in the studio because he was off time - up to a quarter note.
And here we have Ale, casually sitting there, just absolutley nailing that track.
Awesome she is 💙
It's really impressive how good and clean they sound in this cover. I don't want to compare it with the one by enter sadman but I like this one more.. simply fantastic! It's incredible what these girls do. Greetings
Original wrote and played by Flea on bass and Dave Navarro guitar. The Warning do it better imo and Dany is doing Alanis and Dave's parts.
All of them have a "What new can I learn today" attitude. Dany has taken vocal lessons in the past, but I think that lately she has pushed her range higher, maybe challenging herself to do it. She is a natural alto, but she can hit an F5 in her upper belt range. She usually doesn't go into falsetto, but she can do that too. And she has learned to do some new tricks on the guitar as well.
JAW DROPPING.
And this is why Danny is the lead vocalist... Period.
🤟😁✌️
It's The Warning.. "You Oughta know" they're friggin brilliant.. Really "You Oughta know" by now.. what's up 🌎✌️
Dany just gets better and better. Pau rocking sunglasses inside. Ale again proving she actually PLAYS the bass. Love how they cleaned up the lyrics.
Pau's glasses sitch is probably due to no eye makeup. Whatever, does it have anything to do with her drumming? No, no muy.
Excellent my friend... excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's how it's done .. 🔥
And that is just one example of why I now regard Dany as right up there amongst the greatest rock voices ever. Good as she was beforehand, her vocal technique has improved incredibly since she pushed herself to reach a new level for the Error album.
This is yet another demonstration of how incredibly talented these three young ladies are!🥰🌹🔥
“Oldddd-der”. Careful!!
😹
🔥⚡🤘
They worked with a vocal coach during the recording of the Error album when they worked with David Bendeth . .
"Holy Shit!" Yeah I agree
Alanis and The Warning on MTV award show on the 19th maybe ? Prob not but it would be cool especially if they got to do a song off of KMF too.
The award show is on the 10th, this Sunday.
❤❤❤❤❤
Absolute master musicians! The Warning level up yet again!
I think "Holy Shit" covers it. Incredible. Dani's voice is ridiculous
🤘
Daniella is up there with the other goats, Greatest of all time❤❤❤
They are such a polished band I mean everything they do it clicks⚡️⚡️⚡️🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽💙💙💙
Someone did a side-by-side comparison of Alanis and The Warning that showed just how amazingly good and how tight a cover this is. Different recordings by different musicians, 30 years apart, and... ua-cam.com/video/rPg4jXlE6Wc/v-deo.html
Dani is badass 🤘⚡🤘 RoRh
🤘🤘
TW: No problem. What song do you want us to slay next?
The. The Warning. Hearing this, I think Dany would totally kill it doing Pink Floyd's "The Great Gig in the Sky".
All three of them are fantastic vocalists, but i feel like, since the release of Error, Dany's vocal capabilities have reached a whole new level, especially in the last year or so. She outclasses her sisters by a fair margin now. Just phenomenal.
I know there are some Alanis fans who won't like anyone who dares to cover this iconic song but this is a great version. It isn't the original and it cannot be that. Alanis poured her pain and anger into the song. It was personal. This is a tribute. It isn't a copy, but an interpretation. The Warning and Dany changed it a bit but I'm OK with the changes. It captures the essence of the original, though at a slightly lower intensity level (in my opinion). I have no issue with that. Great songs deserve to be performed and played, not stored on a shelf somewhere.
The band and family are strangely silent on this. However, David Bendeth the producer of the Errors album said in an interview when the subject of vocal coaches arose that he told Dani directly if you want to sing past 35 you better find a vocal coach. That is about when you see her start to jump multiple levels every time something new comes out. Go back to the original and you can hear Alanis damaging her voice. Dani is just belting as loud and well with no strain.
Dany could not have pulled this off 2 years ago. She is maturing vocally with huge leaps. Paulina is nothing but cool back there. Ale crushes the bassline.
Alanis wrote a fantastic song and Dany crushes it with serious passion and emotion. If they released this as a single it would flood the airways.
Yes. I believe she worked with a vocal coach for a while and it shows. At the end of the Error tour (Pepsi Center) and forward she has greatly improved.
Crushed it! I don't think there's anything they can't do. If you want to see Dany slay on guitar, check out her performance with Halestorm on "Familiar Taste of Poison" at Quebec. This video should kill all claims that Dany can't shred (she comes in around 3:10 if you don't want to do the whole song). ua-cam.com/video/dgsMTGb3nLk/v-deo.htmlsi=x_erl_U8LzMTMt1y
⚠️❣️⚡️❤️🔥
Well the current album being the 4th album and Danni being the oldest is only in her mid 20‘s. Plus they have been touring. So I think vocally they are probably going to be hitting they’re prime in a few years. Yes they probably do work with vocal coaches and others, to ensure they can sing all sorts of songs safely without hurting the voice.
DPA 🔥🔥🔥 TWA 🤘🤘🤘 UK ⚡⚡⚡
🔥🔥🔥⚡️⚡️⚡️🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Not too shabby of a voice for a 5 foot 3 skinny woman. Only joking! Dany is freakin amazing!!!! #TheWarning
🤘🏻⚡️🔥
"Bass is Passion. Bass is Hope. Snacks are Life" ⚡⚡⚡
I heard Dany comment once that Ale has a great voice but doesn’t do any voice training. I assume from that comment that Dany does.
⚠️ ⚡ 💛 ⚡ ⚠️
Would love to hear them do a cover of Pat Benatar’s Hell is for Children
