- I was really surprise to see the amount of excursion from this small driver! Bang and Olufsen really do use quality components in their products. Also the battery seems easy to upgrade if you know how to rewire and solder. Not to bad for my first video!

At first I thought the main base driver in the A1 would be the same one used in the A2, but it clearly isn't. However it's unclear on who's making it... It's not impossible that this driver is made by Thympany/Peerless. B&O do use their drivers quite a bit.

I think it's same maker cuz it's same design just that this doesn't make use of a paper cone, kind of a waterproof material but it's just a mid-range driver which b&o combines with a DSP to boost the bass and make it produce deeper bass and thats why it gets really hot at high volume same with the beoplay A2

These are peerless driver, which dont seem to be available on market. gbs-100n25al00-04 is the part number which proves these are peerless. There are 5inch versions available to buy but this exact model seems to be missing.

Jeffrey Yong actually..Vifa and Peerless are the same now...so it is the Peerless dbs range..

I think my Beoplay A1 broke today. After almost 2 years of perfect sound, today the sound is horrible, dull, low, like an old radio. Some component broke for sure. Sending it to warranty repair.
when I put it back, the bass has problem. Dont know why

I would use a type strong glue if the surround are coming up. My own woofer broke the magnet came undone I was able to fix it temporarily with some strong glue lol but u can a replacement woofer on aliexpress or ebay the only thing is to find the right ohms speaker one on ebay is a 4ohm while on aliexpress its a 2 ohm
how many ohm would you recommend ?
@@oskarschraml7622 I would ask someone to use a voltage meter to check what oem woofer resistance is then you should have good idea of which one
