Perfect time to drop your vlog, a quiet morning before running off to spend day with family. Friday went to London and wanted to get to Borough Market however ran out of time, I saw it ends with us and like you, felt quite flat and lots of questions, i have the book on my kindle and will read it and compare.

My mum said the same thing!! Haha I did take it off when i was rinsing it off etc. but yes next time will definitely take the advice as i don't want it ruined. I agree with you about it ends with us, I’ve only read the book and within the first few pages I was saying “who would do that” 😂 x

If you haven't already been, there's an amazing pasta place just next to Borough Market called Padella - soooo yummy, cooked right in front of you and not too expensive!! I'm kind of enjoying the cooler weather as I love autumn and our flat is just way too hot at the moment 🥵 but not a fan of the rain as it makes my hair frizzy 🤣
I didn’t like the book at all and stopped reading it half way through. It‘s an important topic for sure but I didn‘t enjoy her style of writing. xx

Hello! I’ve walked past the Everyman at Borough a few times in search of doughnuts on my lunch break - that whole Borough yards area is new, when I started my job 18 months ago it wasn’t there! I went to the Barrafina there on Thursday for lunch. It was okay, and not that it was the food but I got really ill on Thursday and even though it’s not linked, you know when something like that clouds how you feel about a place? It’s a bit like that, I can’t really remember the food - just how utterly crap felt midway through Thursday afternoon! I’m still not right either, not great way to spend a BH weekend 😢 The Blake Lively thing is interesting, anyone can have a bad day but when there’s a camera there you probably just have to suck it up and be nice. If someone is rude to you by all means address it but if they’re just trying to do their job, just be gracious. I love those Trip drinks, the light pink one (elderflower mint) is my fave. No idea if they work to chill me out but they’re good! That Selfridges box is such a lovely gift! The bag is a really good size and it’s a great mix of products. I’m just in the early stages of Beauty Advent calendar decision making - loads of sneak peeks are out and they’ll be on sale within a matter of weeks so in need to decide. I’m thinking possibly Cult Beauty or Sephora this year - did Sephora last year and it was really good. Fajitas looked SO yum but I’m with you - I definitely need cheese! Hope you’re having a lovely long weekend xx
Oh Jess, please be careful cleaning in your good clothes, especially with bleach products. I’d hate to see you splatter that darling blue sweater! I’ve ruined more than a few items over the years😖It will be interesting to hear your sis’ take on the movie, and I can’t wait for your visit vlogs with her this week! The book is exactly as you’ve described the film! An easy read but the writing felt really simplistic and corny.
Totally agree it was a bit disappointing, I haven’t read the book but I found the movie a bit disconnected and doesn’t fully explore any of the key issues! Xx
Loved the book, its one of the first colleen hoover i read, im afraid i wont be watching the movie despite loving blake lol isnt it costly to buy bits of food like u do?

I do an online Tesco food shop most weeks I usually show them in my vlogs. When Matt and I are busy or working or one of us is out a few nights in the week we will normally end up picking up bits from the supermarket.xx
Ohhh I loved Lily’s style! But I hear ya haha. I didn’t like the book, enjoyed the movie but also acknowledge that it’s very much a story worth telling.

I went for years thinking I got regular sore throat and it was light reflux! Identified by a functional therapist. Maybe look it up if it continues. One round of probiotics and gaviscon cured it for me.
