I really like this format. The only thing that would make it better is a copy of the whole tab. I am putting together a notebook with your lessons in it. Thanks
@@RobertoDallaVecchia not all the way through but this will certainly get me there!!! I actually usaully play it capod at 2nd fret and play a c position. I need work on open d so this is great! Thank you
this is it , the one for intermediate ( there is no beginner to play the melody ) I have looked at a few fiddle transcriptions and they do not translate to the same notes for guitar. This is the one for kitchen jam gatherings as was done. Once the part is solid any advanced player can step out at any time, Be warned however that Jerry Douglas and other stars would be asked to play the melody more straight where I come from when they drift into professional demo
This is great! But is the numbered fingers, index is 2, middle is 3 etc...is that how tabs are usually written? I am new to this. I thought index should be 1, no?
Thank you Jeremy. The numbers you see on the tab are fret numbers, not fingerings. The numbers on the score (top staff ) are the fingerings. I hope that helps
@@RobertoDallaVecchia It was great. I really like the way you explain the transitions from first to second etc. because when you read the tab it's not always clear. I've heard some teachers say if you have quarter notes it's always downstrokes, eigth notes up and down, so how does that translate to learning by ear? Just some thoughts and loved it.
Thank you from ireland sir
I like this change in method Roberto! I really like this tune too.
Glad to hear that Dan, much appreciated
The theme tune to Transatlantic Sessions on the BBC over many years.
Really? I didn’t know that. Love those series
One of my favourites...love the tab and notation play along that you have added great instructional video, very professional Roberto!
Thank you Lee, so glad to hear that!
Didn't see the announcement for this weeks vid. Didn't see it live but I can re watch it now.thanks for this.
Hey Dirt, I tried to record the video in advance this time. This way I can add the TAB. Do you like it?
Like it a lot. This is great cause I have the rhythm part down now I can wok on some lead stuff.
@@dirtworshiper2800 awesome!
I love working on this lead. The tip about the "fake" strum is so helpful! Sometimes, it's easy to get lost in the up-downs.
Thank you Susan. Stick to the rule and eventually they will become second nature :)
Hi Roberto, I really like St.Anne's Reel- a great one to know for sessions in Ireland. Thanks
Hey John, thank you for watching and sorry for being late at posting today

Ciao Roberto, direi che l'idea della tab in sovrimpressione è assolutamente funzionale. A presto!
Oh bene, grazie Salvatore per il feedback
Love this tune! Thank you so much
You're very welcome Tyler, do you play it already?

@@tylerarwood4397 super!
Thanks Roberto, I had great fun learning to play this reel. So sweet of you to carry on teaching us, in spite of all the lock down troubles!
Glad you enjoyed it

How to pay for just tab for St Anne’s Reel ! Pay for tab only
I only have this video lesson available: shop.robertodallavecchia.com/products/st-annes-reel?ToPasteBoard&
That's so weird, I was given a tab for this song in C and told to capo up! It's lots easier in D.
I agree and I think it has more of an open sound in D
Please take the words off. They are blocking the tab. It's really frustrating. Otherwise you teaching is nice.
Hey Julie, that depends on you, not me. Just click the subtitles icon next to the gear icon and voilà. Enjoy
Duh !1 My stupidity ! Thank you Roberto ! I love you arrangment of this song. @@RobertoDallaVecchia
