My question is why would they not tell everyone who was part of the program and properly prepare them?
It's much better explained further down the series later on; they are mostly society rejects sold to the project, with the exception of the policewoman and the soldier who knew about the plan.
There is a team that knew but the rest were clueless
Some people will be jealous that other people got picked and will start killing the selected people, is my theory
The teams are more likely the last hope if every other humanity projects fail. Its like safety net. They pick healthy, young and talented people in their country. Remember these people have a whole future ahead them. Some of them have great career as musician, or sport man. They most likely will not give it up to some unknown project. So its their family that know and give them to the government. Also the sleeping pod have percentage of failure that will rot and kill them.
The only team that know in advance is the team that made from human that being raise specially from the baby. They had be prepared and expect to be a leader for the other teams. They given skill and knowledge. I think the name of that team is summer A if I remember correctly.
Natsu team actually a l0ser team that be picked in rush in case other teams failed.

I really loved the 7 seeds anime the 1st season was great and the second one was a bit awkward but had great character development and i waited for the 3rd season but no info on that. I hope we get a few more seasons

@@Heyimcookie Hence why one about Akari X storyline seems cut off, like one of them touched the frozen corpse and might have been explored.
Plus, Season 2 version is the condenscened version of that unfinished storyline (Mark got Akari X and said disease also had fail-safe where it will prevent people from killing themselves where he had to use the pen on the jugular after the parasite caused him to drop his cyanide that would have act as foreshadowing).

I like the idea that it's probably been millions of years and dogs haven't evolved at all
Yeah their are a lot of problems some of those are very simple:
1. The extinction? A asteroid hitting the earth is not only a over used concept you have to remember the asteroid that hit earth 65 million years ago killed over 75% of all life on earth which I think It would be more interesting if our extinction was caused by genetic monster created for our hunger for destruction and war.
2. The inhabitants of future earth? True dinosaurs like reptiles and giant arthropods ( as long there not large enough to dwarf us) can happen in the future but cat,dog,horses and other animals would be extinct or evolved into new species and carnivore’s plant would less gigantic and more unique( I bame little shop of horrors for creating the idea of giant killer kajiu plants)
3. Tick x? Even though it a scary reference to Covid 19 plague it would be more scarier if it turn peacefully animals into mindless bloodthirsty demons like in episode 7 of primal.
4. No animal villains? It take most of it plot from lords of the flies (which has no kajiu or animal villains) which animals would make the future world more scarier and dangerous and better focus to the most important lesson in the animal kingdom no living organisms rules supremacy over the earth. (What would the main villain look like? I was thinking of a dragon looking kajiu that was the only survivor of a race of genetic monster of a lost time where we have a huge desire for war and destruction.)

I like this series so far but its so ridiculous it's not even funny, how does an asteroid impact mutate everything into monsters not to mention somehow bring back extinct animals too...this wouldn't happen even if millions of years past which it obviously hasn't been nearly that long since the ruins of Tokyo were still in recognizable shape, tbh judging by that alone I feel like some people would have survived even without being frozen in a bunker.

Yanagi summary: A**hole who tried to force himself on another person. gets attacked by insects, brainwashed and finally told them what the hell is happening.
Why didn't they recruit more than 7 per group the more humans put in cryo the better for survival. Instead of focusing on tests for how good they are they should have been focusing on more crypods and saving as many as possible.
