Went to look up skyfish on Wikipedia and all the examples in media come from Japan too. Wonder if the Japanese reactors immediately recognised it?
As a side note, knowing the cultural reference makes watching the difference in reactions between Japanese and English speakers more entertaining. Like in the episode where Senshi made katsudon before fighting the Red Dragon, it’s funnier to the Japanese reactors because it’s a custom for students to eat katsudon for good luck before an exam.
