Wow perfect timing. I recently got a job as a Data Engineer only with my Mechatronics Engineer and doing a lot of online courses but now I’d like to continue with a Data Science Master.
You said it very clear. I'm from Honduras and my Bachelor's degree is from my country and has no credibility whatsoever. Definitely need to get a scholarship in the US or Europe on Data Science or Data Analytics on a Master's Degree. Thank you Greg, great video.
Something that I think isn't represented enough is that there are a lot of R1 universities that offer funding for statistics masters degrees as research assistants. I'm probably going for my PhD, but currently I'm just an MS student and I get paid to build my portfolio and have my statistics skills evaluated. If I had a math/stats degree from Waterloo or MIT yeah I'd also be hesitant to go to grad school, but I didn't go to a fancy uni for undergrad and didn't major in statistics
Totally see your point! For me, my Masters Degree in Bus Analytics and Data Science will be almost free due to my employers generous tuition reimbursement program, so even though I may not need this degree, I'm going to get it anyway.
After watching this video, I think I feel more motivated if I do a Graduate Diploma in Data Science and be self-taught doing projects and gaining skills/experience.
Hey greg, Just came across this video I have offers from MSc Statistics from Imperial and MSc Data Science and Machine Learning from UCL Which one will be better to go to?
Exactly what I'm looking for. I'm still unsure though. I'm double majoring in statistics and computer science. I HATE writing papers. Trying to avoid that 200 page dissertation
Greg, I did my BSc in Industrial engineering and I want to transition over to do my masters in data science, the head of the IT department there said I would have enough exposure to statistics and linear algebra from my degree but I would need to do some courses on programming to get into the masters. It’s currently July, the semester starts in September and I would like to apply to do it. What would be your advice to someone like me who has no background in programming and wants to start their masters in data science in 2 months?
That sounds incredible, thank you for sharing your journey with me! This question comes at a great time, as ML NOW (my company) just released the best programming course on the market! Go try it at mlnow.ai :)
I have bachelor in EE and many concepts in DS are easy for me. Agree concepts in statistics are new for me. Any suggestions on statistics master courses?
Take my courses at mlnow.ai/!

Greg, would a Data Science Master’s Degree from Harvard Extension School qualify as a credible university degree?
What's Harvard extension school?

Hi Greg.. thanks for this great info!! What are the most recommended courses or certificates from Coursera? Thanks
No problem! Please check my video on machine learning certifications roadmap, or data science certifications ranked

Regression is very important.
How about Bootcamp?
Not a huge fan personally, but I don't know too much in this area.
