I know this is a 2yr old video so I hope by now in Sept 2022 you’ve figured out how easy these are to disassemble to ease fitting in a car. I can fit a Royal model in the trunk of my 2011 Camry and with the back seat cushion removed can fit 2 full chairs in the back seat with the ottomans and armrests in the trunk which I always remove.
Hmmm, well, low-profile furniture was never an issue for me at 6’4”, but i know it can be for some people. I suppose their focus is more on design in that regard 🤷♂
Great video thank you. I’m looking for a stressless recliner for myself, at 6ft 2inches I am assuming a large is a must, the one you showed looked quite small? Also the bases come in a few different style options, so the wooden ring and curved vertical supports are not always present, depending on the style the owner chose. Customisable if you look on their website.
Try to find one with a sliding headrest, like the Reno, Taurus, or Prince. If you are tall and not too wide, a medium will work because you can raise the headrest.
I’m sorry I don’t have any experience with restoration or repair. I have managed to remove ink stains but I haven’t had to repair anything that was faded
@@TheSchyllerwade Thanks. Because of your video I am now buying and selling EKORNES furniture down here in FL! Great side hustle for a single mom. Thanks for all the great info on how to identify authenticity, finding deals and pricing! But I'm learning you have to work quickly!! Early bird gets the worm for sure! Best regards.
Hey! That is not something I ever tried to fix. At that point the leather has been stretched and creased, i don’t think it can be undone. I suppose if it’s one of the models with removable/zippered cushions, you could possibly add some down fill to it… fwiw, that never really affected the sale.
At 18 mins you said companies Ben around since the 70’s. Nah they been around since 1934. Maybe this style of chair been around since the 70’s but the company that makes these been making furniture since 1934.
Informative video. I just bought a used one myself yesterday and it is authentic. Take care!
nice! I love them, personally. Been my favorite recliner for a long time now
Thank you very much for this video!!!!

I got mine out of a thrift store's dumpster last month 😊

I’ve had a full-size pickup for a while, but no, I never bothered with disassembling them! Good to know 👍
I want to know why Scandinavian furniture is so low when so many of us are tall!!🇩🇰🇳🇴🇸🇪

Do you have any tips how to restore an EKORNES STRESSLESS leather recliner where the leather color has fades near the head area?

How do you stretch the bottom cushion to take the leather creases out.

How did you fit that in your car? Or is it an SUV?
haha! in a car, it goes in the backset, headrest first! it's a little tight and requires some tugging and maneuvering, but it'll work!
Not teak, beech in various tints
