should have been reviewed if nothing else. the positioning of the assistant ref was off and he missed it... simple as that. he should have reviewed it based on how much the winger had to reach for the ball anyway. poor officiating.
@@clarke1319 - the run was angled and the hand movement was forward. that is very different from running straight, backward motion and ball drifting forward. but looking at it carefully I think blue 11 actually makes contact with the ball causing the strange flight pattern.
@@colstoun4762 Ennor's pass 2 weeks ago was also made on an angled run - judged forward by the TMO - SANZAAR subsequently stated this was incorrect. I have no idea what angle a player is running on has to do with whether or not he passed the ball in a forward direction. There is no clear and obvious evidence from the video clip above that the ball left the passers hands in a forward direction. Did it drift forward? Yes it did. The later does not necessarily mean it was passed forward.
