Good morning. I’m so happy you are doing vlogtober. Old world home has been one of my favorite channels for many years. So gentle, pragmatic and sane. My babies are grown but I’m so sentimental about that time of my life. I’m currently recovering from ankle surgery and won’t be up and walking until the end of October so vlogtober will be like a count down to getting back to my normal life.

Hillary, I have so missed your vlogs. Not to put undo pressure on you, BUT you are my absolute favourite encourager as a young stay at home mother of two. You are a wonderful, realistic example to aspire to, so thank you for sharing. You give me hope as to what my life could look like. I want to be as full of life as you are.

I’m 65 years old and that “Harold and the Purple Crayon” book ( in the smaller basket) was my favorite that we bought at the Scholastic Book Fair when I was in elementary school in the sixties,in fact I still have it!🤭

I would save the sheet. I use them as a drop cloth when painting or fold it and throw it over the back seat when the kids are dirty from soccer. Always a use.

I have been counting down the days for this!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!
I am happy to see you doing this again this year. Because I so often have find a tear these days long after the spot has gotten very weak, I've started buying separates in one color only, then I can just order the top or bottom sheet (or pillowcases) and never have to worry about not having a matched set.

Oh boy!! Vlogtober! Thanks for bringing that to us again this year. Recently, we were in Eureka Springs. In one of the stores, they had a whole display of Pete the Cat books. The illustrator of all of those books was present, for the day, and I had my photo taken with him. The books are based on his own cat, Pete.

I had to come back, as I was making my bed this morning I remembered that I had a fitted sheet do the same as yours. I believe it's from where either our shoulders/elbows rest, or our feet that makes the sheet thin then eventually rip, that's what ours did.

I’m so impressed with you! How you’re able to think and share your thoughts with the drum playing and without taking pause or stopping the camera or editing it out. You’re the sweetest! You’re such an example of grace and charity, a loving and gentle mother. I couldn’t do that. It would disrupt my thoughts for sure, let alone get my words out!😆 It’s definitely something I’m working through. 😊 Nice Vlog!

I am so happy you will be posting most of October. I wanted to encourage you with your dog. It can be so hard the first year or even the first 2 years, but after that a dog will enrich your lives so much. One thing I did when our dog (now 6) was a puppy is that I removed the squeakers from most of her toys the first few years, because it became overwhelming and the squeaking was too much. Slowly over the years we have added the squeaky toys back, and she is much more calm with them and loves them when we give them to her as a treat. It's hard to find non-squeaky dog toys! Animals bring so much love into our lives. I appreciate your content!

10 years - I was watching some of your past vlogs - my heart clenched when I saw how young Evey & Laura were. Luke wasn’t born yet. My heart had that same ache with your kids as mine with how the years are before your eyes - how fast time goes by. Where did it go? Miss those moments - onto more beautiful memories!!!
