Love it. Now do some of them crazy exhaust experiments on this. Six bangers is the best sounding engine❤ Apart from them with double the pistons, but that's just 2xsix mashed together, so it's almost the same😂
@@HatersGarage lmao, joking aside, you did mention upping the rev limiter to 7k, was that enough to make use of the cam's potential or theoretically would it want even more revs?
@@b.c.2281 It does pull all the way to 7k, and doesn't seem to lose any steam. I think it could make power at even higher RPM, but the bottom end would probably fly apart.
When I have to rebuild the bottom end probably, but I'm going to run it as a 2.5 until either it cant handle the power I want to make or it gives me problems.
MAYBE at 6000 RPM you're making more power than stock (because your M20 is rolling over by that point, tbh), but at 4k, you're probably giving up a ton. Placebo effect for sure.
When he showed off the pistons, I winced. When he pulled out the dremel, I cried. Good stuff
Awesome build, man! Can’t beat the late 80s to mid 90s bmws. Build quality was phenomenal.

Sounds great! Nice work fly cutting👍
I've never seen that done with pistons before. I'm stunned 😂
Yes! New E30 UA-camr! Subscribed
Ah yes never heard no m20 like that before
Everything tells me that this is way too much cam for me, but that lopey idle means I'm reconsidering everything.
Yeah I'm probably putting in a smaller one at some point. Too much of a good thing, like a boob reduction.
@@HatersGarage You're saying responsible things, but I just keep hearing 304 cam + 3.0 stroker in my head when I try it.
@@b.c.2281 Throw a turbo in there while you're at it.

Are you going to stroke it to a 2.7

It seems (M20) to need more rpm at idle!
did you haveto any upgrades with fuel injectors ecu ect?
Yup, it has a Megasquirt standalone ECU with wasted spark and injectors from a 2002 Ford Mercury.
So. . . . (not being critical here), balancing the pistons not a concern?
It's such a small amount of weight difference, I'm not too worried about it. No problems so far
How has the car been since doing the cam
kind of a late reply, but the car has been great the past couple years. It's been driven semi-regularly and auto crossed, still running strong.
@@HatersGarage that's awesome to hear, I'm still putting small touches on the engine, big cam with big turbo
@@1bmwfail Good man. I'm probably going to go with ITB's myself.
@@HatersGaragevery cool, I’d love to hear what it sounds like after that!
@@HatersGarage you should include some of your autocross runs in a e30 video, would really like to see it :D
I’ll give u a 2.7 bottom end I’m in NORTHERN VA
I appreciate the offer, but I don't have a truck that I would trust to get me there and back. (I'm near Roanoke.)
@@HatersGarage itll fit in your trunk of your e30 ive managed to cram a whole long block m20b25 into a four door plastic bumper e30
How has the engine held up? I just bought a 304 from ebay lol, but I'm turbo hoping the valves clear with the MLS head gasket and shim
Sounds mean!
holy molly !!
Cool!
Its too bad for me that NO ONE makes a d15b7 cam
Make one yourself
@beyondpistache8413 no thx, not a fan of running valves into pistons.. just because g54 did it dosent mean I will...
Harley Davidson e30…
lol "butt dyno" 30 horsepower my butt...
