Thanks for playing my game! I saw at the start you struggled with knowing whether or not you had "created" a route--this is an issue that several people have run into now so I will make it more intuitive. I appreciate a lot how you narrate everything you are thinking, because it really helps me understand what clicked for you and what confused you.
You are also like the first person ever to use multi-routes. Most people just assign planes between two cities and buy more as necessary, so I don't get to see a lot of multi-route gameplay and see the issues that players run into. I need to re-think the "well-served routes" goal to be more applicable to players like you who use multi-routes.
Overall, thanks for playing and feel free to give it another go, maybe give me some time to make some of these changes first 😁

I really enjoyed the game. years and years ago i played Airline Tycoon 2. And in that you had to organize all your routes into the planes you had available. I think thats where that multi-route mindset came from

I loved flycorp but having it be a globe makes it so much better. Not allowing planes over the pacific or over the north or south poles really effects flycorp

Thanks! I fly over the Pacific Ocean between Asia and America frequently in real life, so being unable to do that in Fly Corp was actually one of the reasons I decided to try and make my own indie game.

Flycorp is broken and ugly, so I'm excited for hopefully a more polished and better looking flight planning sim

@@IsaacIsaacIsaacson Fly Corp's simplistic and 2D graphics may have been a deliberate design decision to allow it to easily be ported to mobile, Nintendo Switch, etc. I am a PC gamer and I have no plans to port Puffin Planes to those platforms, so I felt like I had the freedom to make my game more graphically appealing since PCs generally have more processing power.

Frustrating. I wanted Fly Corp but better and this seems like Fly Corp but more complicated. I've been tempted to make the former myself but I hoped KishMish would show their game more love and don't know how I feel about attempting to make an All Quiet Roads/Skies(?) riff on their work.

Fly Corp is definitely one of my inspirations for Puffin Planes! I am a 4X/Grand Strategy/transport gamer by tradition, so a lot of design decisions and game mechanics that I did were influenced by OpenTTD, Eu4, etc. which led to the game going in a different (more complicated) direction than Fly Corp. Whether or not it will work out--we shall see!
