Here's a great singing challenge and vocal exercise, the alapana of Kaatril Enthan Geetham. This is a song that uses the notes of Raga Keeravani, although the gamakas are different from the pure Carnatic singing style. It always helps to learn this alapana through its swaras, to develop more clarity!
S. Janaki amm didn't learn any type of music but she cracked this song. How can she sung like that without learning Carnatic music. S. Janaki amma is legend and gifted by God to us❤️❤️

I realised her immense value well within viewing this for just 1 minute. I loved music and I sang for pleasing myself. But I now realise getting a teacher like her at the right time could change an entire life from all its suicidal self destructive impassionate negtivity to a great positive world of joyful self finding self actuating and self learning and a self loving individual.

Let me first convey that I am not a singer or a musician, but I am interested in listening to the songs and musics. In my view, the presenter is a perfect definition of a Good Teacher. The mastery over the art is truly fantastic! The nuances and minutes of the music are well articulated with admirable linguistic charm and it is wonderful to note that the presenter shares the knowledge with heart and soul. Great.
We’re analyzing this alapana for 5mins and 32 sec. But Raja sir composed the whole song in less than 5 mins🤯

How do you know that guy did it in 5 mins? He had so many assistants to compose his tunes in carnatic and western. Did you know that? Don’t say or criticise anyone who is trying to teach or explain. Learn to appreciate everyone and there is a joy in that.
Altum Partem I didn’t criticize anyone. I love the way she breaking in down and I honestly leaned something new from this video. I think you mistaken my statement. Ilaiyaraaja sir is a legendary composer who has composed songs and bgm scores for over 1000 movies and few independent albums. His way of composing is spontaneous. Tunes comes to him effortlessly. He’s known of that😊

Please consider adding to the playlist songs like - Udhaya Udhaya (Udhaya), Sowkiyama (Sangamam, esp the line 'Yenna seiyyum paniyin thuli), Kalvare kalvare (Ravanan), Naane varugiren (OK Kanmani).
