Cuphead All Stages Expert S-Rank 60fps

- Best viewed in 60 fps. Stages were played individually. Note that because I had to beat some of the bosses twice, what shows up on the map doesn't always completely match. Note that I got the S-rank on the Run 'n Gun stages rather than the P-rank.

This is literally the only video I could find that did S ranks instead of P ranks in these levels.
It’s a shame that p ranks are higher than s ranks. They're much harder imo.
The only bad thing is S rank isn’t possible in the real game for they only have two stars. It’s still cool to see tho.

@@babbisp1 modded gameplay. In the real vanilla game, there are only 2 stars for skill level making S rank not possible.

I beat this on normal once. That's it. Not replaying this game on a harder mode just to dies a lot more times than I did with my 1st walkthrough.

It's very fun to play if you accept that dying is part of it. Controls are great and it's funny how the game wrecks you when you don't know what to expect.
@@BlueZirnitra The old phrase "practice makes perfect" very much applies to this game. I don't have any complaints about the controls. It's probably really satisfying when you eventually memorize a boss's attacks, and get a flawless victory. But despite that and the beautiful graphics/music, I'm just not willing to put in the practice to become that good. I would have really loved Cuphead to be more of a Donkey Kong Country style of platformer, myself personally.

I was gonna say “you can’t even” then I realized it was modded. The fights are real but there is modded early access to it without beating story.

I set it at 25:33. I don't believe I ever changed it after that point.
Peashooter, spread and chaser. Though we never see him switch between chaser and spread for some reason.
I'm pretty sure I originally intended on keeping the spread gun. It's just that I had some trouble on that boss and decided to switch. There isn't a great way to edit a weapon change into the video, so I just left it without the switch.
how do you shoot 1 special attack with a full deck like that? everytime i shoot it just does the full super
I don't think there's a way to choose which move you want. You either do the regular attack with a full deck if you don't have a power up equipped, or you're forced to use the special attack if it is equipped.

I don't wanna waste a super sometimes, i'd rather just use 1 card instead of all 5 but I always end up using all 5 when hitting the special button
actually looking back now the reason you were able to was because you didn't get the super from the chalice lady yet
@@BennyHarassi That's correct. I could have turned off the power up after that point, but that still wouldn't give me the option to choose between regular or super attacks.

It isnt possible for 60fps the game has 24 fps a second cause thats all they could draw for one movement.
The animation is 24fps, but the movement of the characters across the screen is still 60fps. Also, see the scrolling background at 12:53.

"I’m pretty sure that as long as you don’t go too far above 2:00 minutes it still counts as an S rank. When I S ranked Wally Warbles I got 2:03 and still got the rank. I don’t think anything has been confirmed by the developers yet though."

I'm not absolutely sure offhand about the run n gun S rank, but it probably has something to do with that save file edit.

Are S ranks higher than P ranks?
I think the P rank is higher. I would need to confirm this, but I think the P rank flag replaces the S rank flag on the map.

@@babbisp1 My mistake for not double checking before. The S rank never showed up on the flag for those stages. The P rank technically is the highest rank.

Starting from a new file is just something I do in most games. The same thing is in my 2 player video of this game, and that wasn't an S-Rank video.

I couldn't say for sure. It probably would work if it's in the same format as the PC save. I don't have a PS4, so I don't really know if it's difficult to transfer files from PC to the PS4.
