This was not my planned route due to several technical issues with my camera equipment and Garmin eTrex 22X Handheld GPS.
Still, this was a delightful 5-mile walk through woodlands with views over the Kent Downs (AONB). Hilly is an understatement, and very challenging on my knees. All good though 👍

Hi Brian, glad you enjoyed the video. I will look up Stansted Forest,, could be a nice outing for when I have completed by van conversion. Hope the sandbank works out for you, I have a Bluewave Glider which is similar.

Another great video Dave. We'll have to do that one soon.
With your knees giving you jip, have you tried a new product pushed by Daley Outdoors? It's called Oldgitamol. I was thinking of getting some myself.
Seriously, thanks Dave keep them coming.

This is the area I visit most frequently living in Bromley it’s only 20 or so mins down the road and such lovely woods with plenty of free parking that doesn’t close many times I’ve walked back in the pitch black. Walked this exact route a number of times. From the footbridge I tend to turn right towards polhill bank nature reserve now as there seems to be less people go that way. Those fields usually have bulls in them. Shoreham Cross is a lovely memorial with stunning views over Shoreham and The North Downs.
The other side of Shoreham has some real killer hills into the North Downs one part has about 140 steps lovely countryside too. There’s a memorial, over there to an early British Aviator Percy Pilcher who pre dated The Wright Brothers by about 10 years. We do live in a lovely part of Kent. I was looking forward to this video cheers.
As a side note I picked up some incredible hiking poles Trek Buddy from EBay fully adjustable, my knees although not arthritic can get a bit sore I tend to use just one pole as I have my dog on a long lead. I alternate them left to right, they really do help

Glad you enjoyed the video. It was not my intended route, and I must admit my knees were hurting more than I made out in the video. I have a good set of trekking poles that I used a lot last Autumn when I could barely walk. The problem with carrying and using my stick is I carry a lot of video equipment along with my food, flask, and water bottle. I also walk with the camera in hand mounted on an extendable stick and gorilla tripod The bottom line is I do need my sticks so I will have to streamline my kit and accept that I will need to swap out kit to assist me in walking on the route which could add several hours to my walk. The thing is, I am still learning to live with Osteoarthritis and lower back pain, but I will work out what's best for me eventually. 👍

Beautiful countryside. Looked like an amazing time out (discounting the arthritis). We don't have anything like those bluebells where I live. The Ace Pro did a great job. It doesn't have that "action camera look" at all. You may want to try turning on the grid so you can keep the horizon level without taking up your cold shoe.

The UK's woodlands are home to almost 50% of the world's population of the bluebell. The bluebells (both English and Spanish) are a pleasure to see each Spring in the UK, the aroma is wonderful while walking through the woods. I do have the grid lines turned on, but the lines are very difficult to see when out walking as the camera is not at head height while videoing as I need to be able to see where I am going. I have found that the top cold shoe mount on my cage is not usable as I often use the flip screen in the fully up position and anything mounted on top of the camera will impair the use of the flip screen. The little level worked out fine on this outing, especially when levelling the camera on the ground for my walk-through shots. I still have the side cold shoe available to use, as I have opted to mount the wireless mic on the cold shoe mount on the Ulanzi ball head below the camera. It is really a matter of having different setups for different outdoor activities. 👍
