I was torn between Samsung robot and i7 plus( with auto-emptying trash)robot when I decided to buy robot cleaner for my house. It was a huge investment for me ,so I did 6 months research and studies watching every robot reviews in the market. Finally I bought i7 plus for 2 months now and I can't be happier about my decision on i7 plus over Samsung's. My i7 vacuums bare floor and every corners as well as carpet so thoroughly enough to show the dust white color that is from my white carpet. My house dust is always black b/c I live close by freeway . I opened the trash container to see the dust color to evaluate how the robot is doing. First a few times it was black dust but now it is white. Now I increased the interval between vacuuming. I strongly believe i7 plus is the king in the present market . Samsung's is too high in height and impossible to go under lower hidden spaces but my i7 robot goes under every cabinet set and drawers set and every beds which makes my home truly dustless. Specially i7 auto-emptying feature is the gem that makes me feel so stress-free and convinient. i7 plus is expensive side but it gives me emotionally stress- free- happiness than before and it helps my health so eventually it saves my health fee.
We bought the R7040 based on this review and others, 3.5 years later, we're replacing it because it seems something went wrong with the IR sensors, since it can't find it's base station anymore, we replaced the base station, and battery, and it's on it's THIRD suction motor (would squeel and seize up) while the repairs were very cheap ($20 ebay motor and a few minutes of labor) the IR issue seems to be killing it. it will go to it's base station, crash right into it, then limp around walls forever like it can't find it. it's very strange. Anywho, I'm very sad that Samsung has abandoned this design. We LOVE LOVE LOVE 'Roy', we named it Roy, becasue of it's D shape, big brush that rarely needed cleaning out, the remote, and especially the EDGE blade, we have standard baseboards on carpet and tile floors, and it got EVERYTHING, including in the kitchen where crumbs accumulate at those baseboards. We're thinking of replacing it with a Neato D9 (or D7), but honestly, if Samsung still made the R series, I'd buy another one. it's been a great experience, it's fun to watch, and it made nice lines in the carpet. We've taken ours to friends' places to vacuum their homes when moving out, and the lines are better than a human can do. If I can fix this IR problem, I won't replace it, but unfortunatley it seems to be on it's last leg.
4:43- correction: you don't have to take it apart like that, the entire gray assembly comes out as one piece, you just grabbed the wrong tab to take out the filter. you don't have to take it apart unless the filter/vortex is clogged with dust bunnies (about every other month). we've had the R7040 for 3+ years and have only taken the vortex apart a couple of times per year to wash it out of habit, but not because it needed it. It's just as easy to empty as others, grab tabs, take apart, dump crud.
Hope u can help me. -I keep getting co3 error code - right wheel - but there is nothing there - my unit is also 3 years old and I have no complaints except he seems to have a mind of his own now which I can deal with - do I need to remove the wheel entirely ? Philips head ???
It's pretty good🌼 Looks brand new and unused, so lucky me :) It did 45 minutes on 3/4 carpet and 1/4 hardwood. It does a great job pathing and has a setting to just go over and over until the battery dies. It then drives home and parks to charge.
really like this vacuum but you have to have good lighting or else it will continuously clean the same area,so it does not work good in the dark or rooms with low lighting with lamps etc, would have been nice if it can detect the dark and just use the methodical Patten with its bumper sensors like the new roomba's and switch back to camera navigation when it detects enough light.
I own one for more than a year and it is not a good vacuum. It get lost a lot, it is now unable to climb some of my rugs because the wheels spin, it is not cleaning good at all. Getting a Roborock S5 max soon.
Would be nice to see a review of one of the more powerful Samsung 7000 botvacs. Should be twice the power of the 7040...and make a significant cleaning difference. But you don't know 'til its tested...We own one, and have been satisfied with navigation and performance. One thing to mention--the 7040 creates a map of where it vacuums, but doesn't use the map for the next time. Makes it a little "dumber", but works just fine on multiple floors. Really enjoy your videos, especially the speed. You have a good understanding of how to get a lot of info in a short video. Takes a lot of work to tighten this stuff, and its appreciated.
I was wondering if you’d compare a Neato to a Samsung as I like the idea of having a straight brushroll in front. Funny thing that most of my rooms have all corners. I’m hoping to see robotic reel blade lawn mowers hit the market in mass. I wonder if Neato and Samsung would venture into those since the basics are so similar.
You can only choose one robo-vacuum, the roomba or the neato. Which do you choose? If you’re going to pick the roomba just because it has the self emptying bin would you choose the neato if you ignore that feature? Price is not a problem.
Hmm, well the Neato is a better cleaning robot in many ways, but the Roomba with the Clean Base is amazing. Its really a tough choice. The nogo lines are a real selling point for me, but I heard that the i7 may come out with a similar feature in the future with an app update (though there is no public info on this yet). Right now I would say the Neato, but the i7+ is a very close 2nd place.
Vacuum Wars thank you for your response. That’s what I was thinking as well. The laser sensor and the nogo lines are the biggest selling points for me. Based on what I’ve seen is it safe to say that the neato and roomba are the best options in the market right now?
What a great review! Thanks for making it. I just picked this model up for the old lady and I was wondering if the Wi-Fi connection is needed for this thing to function properly? Seems like you can just use the remote and forget about the app.
Thanks! Its been going down a lot today though. UA-cam has been purging a lot of old and spammy accounts today "UA-cam purge". I think its about done but who knows.
Yea but an AI made a Harry Potter book called Harry Potter And the Large Portrait of What Look Like a Large Pile of Ash Bc AI is so smart it made a great book
Hello. I have enjoyed watching several reviews as i search for a new robo vac. Could you help me find a vac that does not require a in home internet? I live in the country side so no access to internet other than my data plan with my phone Thank you
I saw a lot of bad reviews, I had an opposite experience. It cleaned our apartment and house efficiently, had great power, and has the best build quality. Too bad Dyson dropped production and support.
I live in the southwest and a lot of my friends and family have Saltillo tile floors that are uneven. Do you have any recommendations for a traditional vacuum as well as a robot that would work well on bumpy or uneven floors?
No virtual barrier in the box? That's a problem... but because robotic vacuum avoid black carpet you can make virtual barrier with black electrical tape!
I prefer my version which has the high power but no wifi, unfortunately, it's not the r7010, more like an r7070 but no wifi. i got it from Germany so it might be different globally
I its hard to say, I have only testes the Xiaomi Roborock E25 which I liked a lot, its close, but I think I would go with the Roborock, though for a lot of extra cash I would def go for the Xiaomi S5
Just to sum it up this vacuum is useless if you don’t have enough light , algorithms won’t make sense and keep doing the same spots over and over and slam into obstacles because of that, cyclone clogs frequently ,it is only efficient if it has enough lighting it 100% relies on that camera at the top .so no it’s not that smart at all and not worth price they go for and I don’t even see why they have the schedule go to 11pm when it cannot navigate in the dark !.glad I got this for 94$ off eBay ,but it does clean great. When there’s good lighting !,a cheap random running robot would definite bear this as far a reliable navigation goes

Awesome info! Thanks for posting!
Your reviews are outstanding and beautifully detailed! Keep it up!
Thanks I appreciate that, Im really trying to make them as good as possible. Im hoping to step up my game in 2019 too!
We really appreciate the hard work you put into making these reviews. Keep it up! It will make my shopping next year much simpler.
Thanks so much!

Thanks Aaron, and sorry for the delay.

Yes ! I'm considering this one.
Its a cool bot no doubt!

EntrenadorVeraz Thank you for this review. I was considering this robot over a roomba. Now I’ll keep looking.
@@keyonsay101 it is very bad actuality. It is not aging good. My next one will be a Roborock S5 max.

Does anyone know if the Samsung powerbot have done away with the magnetic tape and added a "no go zone" type features to their app?
another great video! thanks for the great quality!

I couldn’t stop laughing at robotic vacuums think that a black rug is a void.
The other kind of vacuum that nature and apparently robots abhor.
Congratulations on 10k!
Thanks man! I appreciate it!
my robot vacuum costs 65 dollars can do a effieient straight line but sadly theres no camera feature in my robot vacuum
Fantastic video! Very informative 👍🏾
I used to not know what cfm was....
now its like a common saying for this channel
Measure of airflow - Cubic Feet per Minute. Standard
throughout industry.
Ed B thank you
Tristin Tristin You’re quite welcome!
Hello. I'd like to know if the Powerbot Star Wars Vader edition has 10 W or 20 W power.
You can only choose one robo-vacuum, the roomba or the neato. Which do you choose? If you’re going to pick the roomba just because it has the self emptying bin would you choose the neato if you ignore that feature? Price is not a problem.

Nice review, thanks
I'd narrowed down to 3 brands, but still can't decide. Among (1) Samsung R7090 (2) Room a i7+ (3) Neato D7 Which one will you buy? Pls advise.
very helpful
Glad you think so!
Hey if you had a choice between a 7040 for $210 or a eufy 30c for $170 which do you think would be the better buy?
great value
The black carpet just gets me 😭 the fact that no robots dare to clean it
What a great review! Thanks for making it. I just picked this model up for the old lady and I was wondering if the Wi-Fi connection is needed for this thing to function properly? Seems like you can just use the remote and forget about the app.
I kinda wonder is celebrities have these all over their house to clean
They have maids for everything...
Congrats on 10k subs 🎊
Thanks! Its been going down a lot today though. UA-cam has been purging a lot of old and spammy accounts today "UA-cam purge". I think its about done but who knows.
Vacuum Wars well, no matter whether they are spam or not. You’ve hit 10k.
wow
Have you tested it when it comes to vacuuming dog short hair?
That's what I want to know.
Would you recommend this over the shark R85?
Thanks for the video, are robot vacuum’s still a thing in 2020 ???
You said that ALMOST all robot vacuum cleaners see black carpet as a drop off. Can you tell me the name of those that don't have this problem
I love vacuum cleaner 😍
Whats was the next one?
Oh how far we've come 😢
a *NO STAIRS/ BLACK CARPET* mode would be a must... since i do have no stairs... but IF i had a black carpet, that would be dumb.
Do you recommend powerbot 7065 or Neato D4?
Dose this robot vacuum mop the floor as well
Expectation: AI will outsmart humans.
Reality: Black carpet is scarry!
Yea but an AI made a Harry Potter book called
Harry Potter And the Large Portrait of What Look Like a Large Pile of Ash
Bc AI is so smart it made a great book

Hello, all the WiFi robots can still work without wifi, you can still use the buttons and remote
Mine just died I’m upset Just stopped taking a charge it charges but will not turn on ugh
you should do the dyson 360 eye i recon it would beat most
I am waiting on the new 360 eye to come out, I am hoping they fixed some of the isses on the original that made it have such terrible reviews.
I saw a lot of bad reviews, I had an opposite experience. It cleaned our apartment and house efficiently, had great power, and has the best build quality. Too bad Dyson dropped production and support.
Did you get around to testing the wifi capabilities of this Samsung Powerbot R7040
Thanks for video. Are you going to review the Samsung Jet Cordless upright?
right here - ua-cam.com/video/dLiFOSR9q28/v-deo.html
Cua es el nombre de la aplicación?
Will this clean the whole house if you just get it started?
Hi, how long does it take to fully recharge?
One more thing, i am stuck between eufy 11+ and R7040 which one should i buy? Pls advise.
Hmm, well the Samsung is a smart nav bot so I would go with that one, but check out the Neato Botvac connected series as well.
@@VacuumWars thnx. Charging time for 7040?
just asking but could you make a video on how to maintain the shark apex zero m
This or neato d4?
I live in the southwest and a lot of my friends and family have Saltillo tile floors that are uneven. Do you have any recommendations for a traditional vacuum as well as a robot that would work well on bumpy or uneven floors?
You would need somthing with a lot of airflow. like the Neato D3-D7 D3 being the cheapest and the D7 being the most expensive with a few in between.
Surprised to not see you comparing to the xiaomi
Thanks but we need LG hombot review
No virtual barrier in the box? That's a problem... but because robotic vacuum avoid black carpet you can make virtual barrier with black electrical tape!
Hi did you know that it has a star wars edition i saw it the white maybe is the star wars edition the r7010 and what your testing maybe
Yeah they have a Vader version and a storm trooper version.
Yay
Nice! by 8 seconds 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Would you ever do a series about commercial vacumms?
I am planning on it in the new year!
Sweet 😏
hey I wanted to point out that you disassemble the Dustbin wrong
I prefer my version which has the high power but no wifi, unfortunately, it's not the r7010, more like an r7070 but no wifi. i got it from Germany so it might be different globally
you opened the dustbin wrong, you just pinch the sides and pull it open, no need to remove the filter
Currently it’s over $440 how’s that budget lol
My Roomba 600 robot is so messy. It kicks and blows everything around.
Yeah, they can be pretty messy, I think it has to do with the speed of the side brushes.
How is this compared to the xiaomi?
I its hard to say, I have only testes the Xiaomi Roborock E25 which I liked a lot, its close, but I think I would go with the Roborock, though for a lot of extra cash I would def go for the Xiaomi S5
I want the most affordable vacuum bot with mapping
Hey I wanted to point out that you dissemble the Dustbin wrong
Thanks, someone else mentioned that too. I still cant figure out the "right" way to do it though.

Dyson hasn’t made an updated robot vacuum yet?
Its been release in China but not the US yet.
Is it best one out now? How much US?
Just found it! It’s called
360 Heurist!
The dust bin very easy to empty , you opened it wrong way.
Good to know. Though I cant see another way to do it?
Heck you fortnight for making me late

Tried this and is doesn't work as they advertise. Just sent it back. This robot just wandered around my house.

I guess if you're bored Nd just want to spend 300$ buy this
This is the most stupid product I have ever used. seldom successfully charging. Almost not possible to do manually either.
