- It's New Years Eve, and after greeting alumni in the Leafs locker room, President Brendan Shanahan must don a Red Wings jersey and lace up against them. As Shanahan states, any battle between two Original Six rivals is a chance to rekindle old passions. But it's even more true when, the next day, Toronto and Detroit do battle outdoors in the Centennial Classic.
Take note Sportsnet and TSN. Even the Leafs know who should be calling all the Leafs goals these kids are going to be scoring for years to come #BRINGBACKBOWEN HOLY MACKINAW!!!!

I know, grew up on Joe. So weird having him call the new generation of Leafs stars with that trademark exuberance. Guy hasn't missed a beat. Dearly hope he's around to call a Cup final.
yeah so do I. But get over it; Bowen ain't coming back to television (no matter how much we all want him back on tv) so people need to stop posting "bring Bowen back to tv" comments on every goddamned Leafs video

Brendan Shanahan, one of the biggest leaf fans had a chance to be a leaf in free angentcy, and like other NHL all-stars that were leaf fans chose not to sign with them. something to think about

This might happen if your system is set up for 5.1 audio but you only have stereo speakers. Not sure if it's the case for this video but that's what I've seen elsewhere in the past
