Just to clarify for those who aren’t aware, the MC/IC always carry similar significations to the 10th and 4th house, respectively. The MC in the 10th and IC in the 4th won’t carry any additional significations, which is why those houses weren’t included in this lecture. This lecture was taken from an intermediate level astrology course, where all of the students would already know this information. Sorry for any confusion! ❤️

I come from a deeply disturbed family home life that has been continuing for many generations. My birth name is Avril which means new beginnings and I always promised myself that I would not carry the generational curse forward into my own children lives. That it would stop at my parents and never go further than that into my own family and my own generations to come.
Understanding that the IC has to do with home, family and ancestry. My Chiron sits exactly on my IC which affirms what I have always known in my heart. 💕

I so agree. It bugs me when planets are in a house that is not their sign and I hate intercepted signs. Plus, if it was good enough for the Ancients, it is good enough for me. Haha.

I have been looking at my whole sign house chart for the first time. And tbh, I’m not sure it works for me. When I look at the placements that change from the Placidus system, I feel like I WISH this were my chart. Some things would be soo much better if that were true. But, unfortunately, I think Placidus describes me and my life better. What is the reason behind using whole sign house charts?
Ok so this gave me real chills... I have MC in the 11/IC in the 5th and I've recently very happily changed careers to become a teaching assistant in an elementary school. My childhood was extremely playful and creative and one of the things that attracts me to this job is definitely nostalgia (along with the desire to help create a better future for these children). The teacher in my class last year had this exact same placement as I did and the same chart ruler. Astrology is amazingly accurate at times.

Here's a random synchronicity I was driving today and for some reason I was thinking about Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin's charts in the car. And then I come home and see your video where their charts are discussed! Not sure what the cosmic meaning is, but I'll take it as a wink from God!
So both myself and my husband have MC in 9th and IC in 3rd. We both came from different Asian countries, and decided to settle in North America. I think our environment and childhood educations when we grew up have significant implications to our careers. I teach in Nursing school, but my cultural values influence significantly when interacting with both my patients and with my students. My husband is a lawyer, and most of his clients are from his native country since he can speak the language. It’s funny how accurate it is😊. Thank you for all the videos you put out. I’m learning al lot, so I just subscribed!
This makes a lot of sense. I have never looked at whole sign houses, but my MC is in the in Aquarius with my IC in my 3rd in Leo. My entire childhood, I was the oldest of multiple siblings, and and spent a lot of time "short distance traveling" to see my dad and his family. I spent a ton of time with my aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents. My neighbor babysat me and I was very close with her kids as well. Reading and writing were my escapes and my education was very important to me.
My fiance has his MC in 11th house, Virgo. IC in 5th house, Pisces. He played a ton of sports growing up and had a lot of recreational activities. As an adult, he was involved in humanitarian/ youth leadership groups, a Rugby coach for a college, and is known for those things. He also has inherited my son from a previous relationship and our son together, and is a great example and role model for them.
I am still learning what I want to do with my MC 9H in Aqua. I also have a Gemini Rising. I have been looking only at my 10th house and wondered why it didn't quite fit. I need to merge that 9th and 10th house energy. Thank you! 💙
This is the only video that actually helps explain this, for ppl w their Mac in diff house than their 10th. My mc in my ninth, in Aries w mars, and tenth house in Taurus, w ruler in 3rd. And Virgo in 2nd w ruler in 4th. Ive been dealing w health issues (Saturn and Neptune in6th?) and applying for disability, trying to come up with something I can do/work from home, like what you said in your video about the second house/money. Whole Sign Houses does affect my MC but it does move my north node from the 1st house of Cancer to the second house in Cancer , Sun, Jupiter and Saturn one house over. My life resonates with the placements in Placidus.

5th house represents also play, fun, and leisure - I have MC ruler in the 5th, yes at some point I worked with children (as a dance teacher), but nowadays I am a Leisure researcher :)
I think planetary dignities are the ones telling the story of who will be famous and who will not, for instance, Amstrong had both Jupyter (ruler of 10th house whole sign) in exaltation in Cancer and Saturn ruler of MC in its own sign. So both planets are quite strong. In the case of Buzz Aldrin Jupyter, ruler of 10th and MC is in detriment in Gemini.

Yes! My MC is 2 degrees Sag in my 11th. When I worked, I was all about getting together with my co-workers and going to the movies, hanging out for meetings and cleaning the highway with them. Also, growing up, my Uncle and I used to play catch all the time and I love to teach children how to play games like Red light, green light and Mother, may I? My nephew who will be 8 in March, (stellium in Pisces opposite my stellium in Virgo) always wants to play games with me. That REALLY fits me.
Another thing, when my uncle got married, my aunt used to play board games with me a lot, too. They are 11 years older than me.
Hahaha! Something more, I used to play basketball with my younger brother during the summers when we were out of school while growing up. Yeah, that really hits home. Also, I taught my brother to read, write and count before school. MC-Sagittarius. My brother's MC is Virgo conjunct my Pluto and Sun. He thanks me every time for my teaching him how to read, etc.

I struggled with having my MC in the 10th house but 9th house makes so much more sense. Teaching is my first love, and I’m also a Gemini rising and with Placidus I don’t have any planets/asteroids in the 9th house much I have so much affinity with that house with my drive for career being so tied in with some kind of teaching component. Now I have to go figure out what 10th house in Pisces means for me lol. 😂

A really good presentation. If you’re going to use house lords and rulerships it would be better to stick with the seven planets and leave the outer planets for secondary or complementary information. Your examples of Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong are better explained by Jupiter and Saturn than by Neptune and Uranus.
Some Astrologers use all the planets. I like using Uranus thru Pluto. They do work to explain personality.

My midheaven is in cap 10th house 11th and mc and saturn the ruler of both houses are in the leo navamsa... so thats kinda good becuz the sun is in cap in navamsa so they help each other out
just wondering what your take is on MC on the 1st and IC on the 7th? I was going through extreme latitudes, in whole sign houses, MC could also end up in the 1st house too! whereas in equal house, for the most extreme places the MC is just from 7th to 12th. but whole sign, MC can actually range from 7th to 1st. just curious what you think about it? for those minorities' MC landing in the 1st in these extreme areas?

Great lesson and my 7 yr old son has this in the 9 and 3rd house placement, we are about to start his 2nd year of homeschooling. Is there a way to tell if this will be a positive early influence? Some natal charts make more sense using whole sign and others, placidus.
Lol, IC in 11th in Sag, Scorpio in 10. Ruler of 11th in 5th, Ruler of 10th in 3rd. The 11th Sag is the overall energy and activity of my career. But when teaching the students were convinced that I was connected (member of the Mafia). I was not an authoritarian teacher, could adapt on a dime to their moods, could be funny, but the students still felt they dare not cross me. They could "talk back" to me. No problem. But when I said On to the work, that was it. I was nev4r a teacher who said I'm in charge. But I was obetyd when I gave orders. Ironically, I was twice offered "big jobs" with the Mafia, :in the legit part, none of that other stuff." No thabk you, that would hsave killed my Sag purpose. Oh, and I dated a sweet Mafia process in high school. I also believe that I can understand the psyches of gangsters and criminal (Pluto conjunct Mercury in 7th). It's a mentality/emotional strructure foreign to Americans. But I studied the classic llanguAges, reading Greek tragedies in the original, and I have always been fascinated by the violent religious histories. Mafia dons seemed to pick upmy understanding of them. Nonetheless, I wnted nothing to do with the Mafia. BTW, an aunt had a fascinating relationship with Mafia dons, She wanted no part of the Mafia either, even when she could have made a lot of money.

Ooh same. South node also talks about talents and comfort zone, it's nothing to really be avoided. This would give us a lot of emphasis on learning, education and communication, as well as spirituality, philosophy, international vs local connections

You can use Astrodienst.com and put your information into the extended chart selection. Just choose whole house and make sure your birth info is correct.

My husband has Aries on his MC in the 10th house. That is the Capricorn house and he is a Capricorn. But with him having Aries Midheaven there, in the public eye, he is very impatient and when he works, he works fast to get done. He hates to sit in traffic and wants to hurry up to get where he is going. Mars rules Aries. Now, at home in the 4th house Libra ruled by Venus is there and he is a peace maker, loves the quiet peacefulness of being home. Although he has Pluto in Libra which means his home life growing up was anything but peaceful with a Military (Aries 10th house father) His dad was a Libra but he made life difficult for my husband.
My husband would love to own a beautiful home with art (Venus) displayed and just have everything in its place.
Use the sign on your MC to interpret it, same as the IC.
But Capricorn/Saturn is the natural ruler of the 10th house which makes one think more about responsibility, control, seriousness, and work. It is the sign/house of the father and discipline.
Cancer rules the 4th house of home, and mother, naturally. So, at home, there is the sense of family, tenderness, security, and nurturing.

It was intentionally skipped because it's a common aspect. She only focused on MC and IC occurring in other uncommon houses.

If your MC is in the 11th, the IC will be in the 5th. There is no other place it can be. Always opposite each other.

@@shoelace1918 I think what Heather means is that all MC's are basically 10th house related in their significations so there's no point in talking about the 10th house exclusively because that would be redundant. My MC is 10th house and 10th house ruler is in the 9th house so the 9th house lends itself towards my 10th house visibility. In other words, your 10th house ruler's placement is going to tell you what you need to know.
So Neil Armstrong didn't want to be in the spotlight right but didn't have a choice, could that be because he has lilith in Aquarius midheaven which has to do with humanity and Buzz has his in Pisces
Suggestion - I suspect that your presentation is geared towards people with a great deal of sophistication about astrology, e.g.' Whole Sign Houses' would help if you gave an explanation of this term, show me 'a whole sign house in an astrological chart. What does it mean to have no planets in your 'MCH' and a lot of planets in your IC. Perhaps you've already addressed these kinds of basic questions in other videos designed for the less knowledgeable reader? Enjoyed your video but I would suggest greater clarification on the terms you're using and there location in an astrological chart.
Good point, David! I think 29:29 helps a bit toward understanding what the term means, if you use it to compare to other [Placidus] charts. 🤷🏽♀️
If I am interpreting correctly, it seems that “Whole House” indicates that solely one zodiac sign occupies one house. I’m not personally sure how to calculate; for instance, my ♏️ signs expand throughout my 11th, 12th, and 1st Houses in a “normal”/regular chart. I think these WH charts are meant for those who don’t wish to delve too deep into total accuracy, desiring simplified Astrological charts/understanding.
That’s my inference, anyhow. 🙏🏽 Best wishes.
Lookup, stellium in 4th house or stellium in IC. Whole house system is the circular natal chart with triangles representing the houses.

I've been following sidereal (vedic). Your wife is a Cancer ascendant and she has been going through Moon Mahadasha since May last year. Moon is her ascendant lord and is placed in the 6th house along with Saturn. I am sure you have noticed a big change in her after May 2019.
Moon represents mind, emotions, mother, nurturing, compassion, imagination etc
Saturn represents discipline, structure, commitment, aged people, delay, laziness, responsibility, differently abed people, service, servants, frustration, restriction, obstacles etc.
6th house represents daily routines, service, competition, debts, diseases, enemies, obstacles, co-workers, subordinates, pet animals etc.
Both are in Moola nakshatra. The symbol of this nakshatra is root. It signifies getting into the roots of a thing (delve deep) or starting something from very beginning. It is a destructive and spiritual nakshatra.
It is a close conjunction and Moon holds the lower degree. Since this conjunction occurs in her 6th house, when she addresses a problem, she will get into the root of that issue. Remember, Sagittarius is her 6th house. Sagittarius is the natural 9th house. Before she gives counseling/advise to someone, she wants to understand the rootcause of that problem so that she can find a solution for it. She approaches the issue emotionally but Saturn here helps her to stay focused.
Moon's nakshatra lord Ketu (south node) is placed in the 2nd house. Most likely, your family had to move to a different place after May 2019 or she had to. As I said, it's a spiritual nakshatra. Since Ketu is placed in the 2nd house, she does not care about materialistic life. Moon is placed in the 6th house. As I mentioned above, her daily routines is all about dealing with issues that are deep rooted. Hope this helps!

I know she has been going through a lot. especially this year. it seems like she had a mental breakdown in the past 3-4 months and she is slowly coming back to herself. she is only 31 so not real old. but she was acting very out of character. is normally a good mother etc. for a couple months she was hardly able to even take care of the children .
she seems to be getting better so hopefully the worst is in the past.
