今回は、織田信長公そして「本能寺の変」で広く知られている京都・本能寺をお訪ねしました。創建から六百年を数える本能寺様は、日本の歴史・文化にとって重要な役割を担っています。
今回は、本能寺の変から４４０年…日本の歴史にとっての本能寺とはなにか？
そして復元された名刀、また信長のゆかりある道具類を拝見させていただきます。

The glass box to allow visitors to hold the dagger at the museum was an excellent idea. Getting to hold the dagger up close is a really special experience and this way, no one has to worry about cleaning it after they've looked at it! I hope more museums adopt this.

First comment for once haha. Honnoji is special to anyone who loves Japan and samurai as the temple that oda nobunaga was killed by akechi mitsuhide, though it was moved to a different location when constructed you can really feel something when you enter the place. Looking forward to part 2 with all the beautiful blades to admirer and I Long for the day to own my first katana 😢
