The 6th ranger, common things I see: 1. Their morphing sequences are often different 2. Their suits are subtly different in design and colour 3. Weapons are also slightly different 4. For some 6th rangers, their zords can transform into megazords themselves rather than have 5 zords fuse into 1 megazord I’d also think that the 6th ranger/special rangers have unique powers that set them apart from the rest

Light speed rescue, nina storm, spd, wildforce, mystic force.....these are some of the best power rangers series and have the best special power rangers in my opinion.
Tommy wasn’t a 6th ranger in Dino Thunder, that title went to Trent. Female Red Samurai wasn’t a 6th ranger, because she replaced Jayden for a little bit. The other 2 Red Rangers in Ninja Steel is a bit of a stretch, considering the red ninja star was split in 3.
Lauren was a stand in replacement for Jayden. Also ninja steel ending red rangers were just added as rangers just for the finale so they are not entirely canon. Finally tommy in Dino thunder is part of the main cast of rangers

You missed tommy Oliver Black ranger (Dino thunder), female red ranger (samurai) and the other two red rangers in ninja steel (dad and friend)
Tommy wasn’t a 6th ranger in Dino Thunder, that title went to Trent. Female Red Samurai wasn’t a 6th ranger, because she replaced Jayden for a little bit. The other 2 Red Rangers in Ninja Steel is a bit of a stretch, considering the red ninja star was split in 3.
