I love how whenever she’s near him she always makes sure to draw his attention to the cane somehow either by moving the hand around that has it a lot or using the cane to do stuff. I love the level of her “f*ck you vibes”
I love how missy beckons him with her finger like he did during the dance and how much that pissed him off.
Also she has a mole around the side of her rib cage! What detail!
The colors and snappy motion looks eye catching and I've seen so many artists and animators leave out wrinkles that are very important for expression for the sake of esthetic which I appreciate!
And I'm a sucker for fight scenes where women are shown taking a punch, not a lot of people are willing to show that and it just made Missy look like a force to be reckoned with!
They looked like they had a great time, they needed this in a very twisted way. Their dynamic is so fun and their motives are shrouded with a pinch of mystery, but make sense.
Honestly Missy looks like she would be stronger than duke. she is quite a bit thicker than Mr. tall and thin.

That is a really good concept. We already know it's cursed, because it changed Missy. Maybe there was a point when Duke was as Missy used to be, and then he got corrupted by the staff.

Yeah. I do not see any sexual tension at all in this. Duke is willing to jump anything with or without a pulse to the point where he'll get screwed over. I don't see him having any interest in her in any dedicated manner.
And in the Silent, it was extremely clear that the hatred Missi has for him is definitely coming from Melissa and not the staff.
There is no love here. This is pure animosity in both directions.
And I love it.

Bear with me for a bit; there’s a bunch of info coming out:
In The Silent we get a very brief look into Missi’s pre-vampiric life when her backpack’s contents are strewn everywhere: she’s good at literature, bad at geography and math, is applying to be a literature major, is interested in art history, her birthday is July 7th, her full name is Melissa Dumarias, and her emergency contacts include her parents and one “Nessa”; remember that last one. (Source: Episode 4; Timestamp on that video: a handful of frames after 3:13)
In Zombie Prostitute we learn a bit more from Dukes “client,” for whom he promptly, *ahem* leaves a tip soon thereafter: There’s a missing persons thing out for Missi, she’s 17 years old, is 5 ft. 7 in. tall, has light brown hair (I think it says hair; but hard to see), brown eyes (again, hard to see), and one of the people looking for her is a woman wearing a necklace that says “Venessa.” It’s pretty safe to assume that that’s the name of the woman wearing the necklace, and since she’s looking for Missi, she has some kind of connection to her; I think it’s safe to say that this is the “Nessa” (since the logical leap from “Venessa” having the nickname “Nessa” isn’t too far out there) that’s in Missi’s emergency contacts from The Silent. Saw people talking about how Missi’s eye and Duke’s finger are setting up for _Stuck with You_ but upon a re-listen of that song, I found something else that supports this:
“You swore you’d be true to me, but gave me infidelity

TL; DR: Daria’s been geniusly setting up _Stuck with You_ both right under our noses and right in front of our faces!

Maybe she sings F you in part 3 because she's bi or even plain lesbian and she hates that he wants to convert her. She would have Nessa as her emergency contact because she was her partner.
I don't really know but it always felt weird that specific song was chosen for part 3, it's a song about hating a bigot and it specifically talks about how they think it's not ok to be gay.
Although Zombie Prostitute was also weird, how the series started as a girl who got to an abandoned castle to read in peace but found a vampire. And became about how the vampire had sex with a random zombie prostitute.
@@fanaticaH Actually, on Daria's Wiki she says that Missi is only bi when she's in her vampire form. It has to do with being more open to their food source, instead of limiting themselves to only half. In her human form, she's your average straight loner type. Also, Duke's page states he's pansexual. So basically, that guy likes everything on the menu. ☺️
