    what would be the performance of Zodiac 390 AL with 30hp Suzuki engine or a 25 hp Yamaha?

    Are there davit lift points welded in near the bow as well?

      Hello and thank you for your question! Yes, the single-layer boats have a single pick point and the dual-layer boats have twin pick points.

    I am undecided whether to buy the fiberglass one or the aluminum one. Apart from the price which obviously would make me choose the aluminum one, can you explain the difference in technical and performance parameters of both? Is the aluminum one more suitable for lakes?

      Hello Marco and thank you for your message! There are advantages to both fiberglass and aluminum. Aluminum is lighter and you can get by with a lighter motor and less horsepower. Aluminum is much easier for those pulling the boat in and out of the water and general transportation due to their light weight, ideal for pulling the bot up on to rocky shores. Fiberglass on the other hand offers a more "planted" experience when in the water. Due to its weight fiberglass will offer a more comfortable ride with less noise and vibration.

      @@BoatSpecialists Thanks for your kind and professional reply. I must admit that now I have a strong indecision precisely because it is true that I am member of those who need light stuff to carry and put in and out of the water. I just sold my Zodiac Cadet with inflatable hull and wooden floor. When the sea is rough it always jumped. Therefore I sold it to get one with a rigid keel to overcome this problem.

      @@BoatSpecialists Why in the video does the fiberglass model lack the triangular transom hull supports compared to the aluminum? Is the fiberglass stronger and doesn't need this triangular transom support?

      @@searchingforsea Thank you for the message, and I apologize for the late reply. I spoke with our specialist and you are correct, the fiberglass is strong enough that it is not necessary. If you would like more information or details I would be more than happy to put you in touch with our team!

    For these small RIBs for < 15HP, is it necessary to drill holes to hard mount the motors the transom or are the clamps sufficient enough?

    • @BoatSpecialists
      @BoatSpecialists  2 роки тому +1

      The clamp setup is sufficient for 20hp and smaller.

      @@BoatSpecialists And what is the thickness of the aluminum in the 390 ? Are both the hull & the deck the same thickness . Thanks

    • @BoatSpecialists
      @BoatSpecialists  4 роки тому

      @@stephenwooding2815 Hello! The hull thickness of all zodiac cadet ribs is 3mm and it is completely reasonable to assume the deck is the same thickness as well. Hope that helps!
