You know, you'd think given Ed's love of horror and stuff, he'd immediately know what the plague is.
Seasons 1-4 take place during summer vacation.
Season 5 onward is when they ho back to school.
You'd think the kids would've jumped Ed first since he was the one who went all psycho barbarian on them in the first place.
However Eddy and sometime double D can be the reason for those situations.

Finally. Sarah gets exactly what she deserves. This proves that Ed can easily overpower Sarah. But chooses to take her abuse.
I mean… Ed assaulted her friend and stole his candy and she was just trying to get it back for him. And for once she was directing her violence specifically at the offender.
Ed has always been stronger. He's just afraid of Sarah snitching to his parents

In the last season of the show, it mostly takes place in the school. And just like you noticed, yea the animation looks more HD too.

Yeah you guys jumped wayyy ahead in seasons lol, Boo Haw Haw was produced around season 5 which is set in the fall and at school. You guys are just finishing up season 2. But it’s cool, it’s a Halloween special after all. And it (and season 5) looks so different because the colors are done with digital ink as opposed to traditional hand colored cels. EEnE was actually the last western cartoon ever to use cel coloring which is cool
This episode did come a little later in the show and it's not a spoiler now but the whole group of kids goes to school turns out they have been on summer break this whole time
Later on, they talk about their parents but it’s one of those shows that the parents are mention or talk about but never shows. Season 5, is the season that center them going to their school. But they are in summer break for the early season

I love this episode it's one of my favorite episodes from Ed Edd n Eddy I always die of laughter watching Ed attacking the other kids in different ways as he had illusions of them as monsters lmfao my favorite one was when he pulled the stop sign out of the sidewalk and clobbered Jimmy with it my one and only problem with this episode was the ending when the kids attacked Edd and Eddy when it was Ed that attacked them Ed and Eddy were completely innocent and neither Edd nor Eddy had done anything Eddy and Edd were basically just trying to find SpookEville so i just hated how they were the ones getting punished for what Ed did
Whoo yeah such a good episode even though Eddy and Double D got punished for bascially nothing lol
But yeah this is quite the spoiler by watching this episode. Long story short, the show was supposed to end for good after Season 4 but CN renewed it for 2 more seasons so they decided to mix things up by having the cast go back to school as of Season 5
I kinda was expecting the kids to beat up only Ed for what he did while Double D and Eddy just watched
Even as a kid I didn't like how Edd and Eddy got punished

Well for the scams that Eddy constantly pulls it is likely that the kids concluded that maybe Eddy had something to do with Ed attacking them. After all some scams hurt the kids so it is not that far-fetched. Double D getting pulled into the punishment was just awful
