- Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai is an animated prequel series to Gremlins. The series is on Max.
Noggin is the show's equivalent to Brain Gremlin from the 1990 sequel Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Noggin is voiced by George Takei and he says the thing twice.

I love how Noggin stays Intelligent and civil, but easily is as chaotic like the others, though he rathers enjoying the simple things in life; like that suit.
Not gonna lie, I kinda cheer that he survived, because we all wish that Brain had survived too at the end of the New Batch.
Yeah and I am happy that he’s going to end up being the new main villain in season 2

If anything, the smartest are survivors. Noggin was definitely smart enough to survive and is heavily the main antagonist in the next season. As well as perhaps find a new way of creating new spawn for himself.
No one’s talking about the diplomacy, compassion, standards quote? That’s what Brain Gremlin wants. Civilization.
I remember audibly gasping out loud when I first heard him talk, I was like "Yes it's the Brain Gremlin! They put him in the show!" Or I guess this would be like his ancestor or something?
Gremlins actually reincarnate when they spawn and retain personality and memories from the past. Mohawk was a reincarnation of Stripe and remembered Gizmo, hence why he spent most of the movie torturing him. So Noggin being Brain, both gaining high intelligence in different ways, works in universe.
In Gremlins two the Brain Gremlin was a random gremlin that spawned from either George, Lenny, or Daffy that turned intelligent while Noggin was one of the Mogwai that spawned from Gizmo when he first got wet.
Now all Brain Gremlin needs is a dimwitted sidekick who can also talk, and we'd have a Gremlins version of Pinky & The Brain.
I am completely shocked that noggin had survived from the mystical knife’s magic power to turn gremlins back to mogwais near the end of the season finale and he’s officially confirmed to be the new main villain for the second season of the show
it was one of those reveals you don't see coming but makes complete sense in hindsight considering they had previously established the ring was impervious to magic and it would make sense that the main characters would forget him because they were not in the scene where that was established

I might think Noggin might at first pose as the main antagonist but he’s actually the central antagonist. What if in season two there’s a new main antagonist and Noggin is working with the new main one, posing as a central antagonist.
I love how Noggin has a very big head, but he's a very dumb gremlin. But as soon he drink the smart potion, he grew smarter and like his big head is like he had a big brain. It's kinda make more senses.
It was actually well crafted way to introduce Noggin as a past recantation of the Brain Gremlin.
Judging of how Brain Gremlin was so popular with fans, the show creators probably wanted bring the classic and mutated batch in the series without using science. Thankfully, magic potions and spells is the best solutions if they want to bring past version of the New Batch mutated Gremlins.

Questional theory, if noggin turned back into a Mogwai, would still be smart and pure evil or would he be pure good and smart?

Imagine more the original and the new batch Gremlins ancestors were to appear in the second season as separate clans.
This is a what if Gremlins ancestors exist in the next season.
Warning! The word "ancestor" for these characters is just alternative way of saying "previous reincarnation".
Noggin's legion: Noggin finds a strange alchemist to build his legion and seeks revenge on Quillsharp.
1. Noggin/Brains = Intelligent elixir/potion. But, he and Frightwing share a sun potion to grant them immunity to sunlight.
2. Vinebite/Vegetable Gremlin = Meat Eating Plant Potion (Flytrap plant).
3. Frightwing/Bat Gremlin = A gargoyle potion. But, he and Noggin share a sun potion to grant them immunity to sunlight. Frightwing is Noggin's trusted eyes in the sky and he is bigger version of Bat Gremlin.
4. Zap Zap/Electric Gremlin = Thunder Potion. He is big and tough, he is very dimwitted and prefer rushing into battle. He blindly follow Noggin as his loyal bodyguard.
Unknown ancestors/Noggin's followers
1. Springfoot: A gremlin drank a frog potion and losing his self duplication powers. But, he and Brine can swim in water without duplication themselves.
2. Brine: A gremlin that drank a eel/sea serpent potion and losing her self duplication powers. But, she and Springfoot can swim in water without self cloning themselves.
3. Torch = A gremlin drank a fire potion and turned into wingless western dragon gremlin.
4. Sting: A gremlin who drink a wasp potion and she is the femme fatale of the Noggin legion.
5. Task Gremlins: Numerous of gremlin minions that serve as Noggin's troops.
Quillsharp Gang
1. Quillsharp: He is a ancestor of Stripe/Mohawk, he is Noggin's first clone and decided to go off on his own and return China to eliminate the Mogwais. First, he was giving a Sharp potion and giving him spikey quill hair and resembles a mixture of Stripe and Mohawk. But, he has fondness for spiders. In season finale, he is injected with a arachnid formula by the alchemist and turned into a wolf spider gremlin. But, he tricked into falling tarpit trap by Gizmo and he melted to death with the sun rising in front of him.
2. Frizzy: Ancestor of Daffy Gremlin, he is the mad prankster of the gang.
3. Bog: Ancestor George the Gremlin, he is the grouchy mechanic of the gang
4. Ton Ton: Ancestor of Lenny the Gremlin, he is the muscle of the gang and Bog's personal assistant despite being clumsy.
5. Glam: A gremlin who really loves dressing up like a beautiful girl and hinting to ancestor of Greta.
6. Roughide: Ancestor of the Ski Mask Gremlin, he drank the mange hound potion and join Quillsharp gang. He created duplication of himself and later burn to death with a torch by Gizmo. His clones remaining alive.
7.Roughide Gremlins: Numerous of gremlins with a mangy canine like gremlins who are clones of Roughide and they served under Quillsharp command.

1st Gremlins 2, now this animated series… Prequel version of the events that later took place in the 1st 2 Live Action movies. In other words, one of the Gremlins that became more smarter & more talkative than most of the others.

Yeah, I can't remember which episode but in one of the episodes he says it makes him impervious to all magic, so the magic at the end that turned them all good again didn't work on him.

i think they will be the "normal" bog, chaotic Gremlins. because, he only drung a magic potion. The brain gremlin in "The new Batch", drunk a gentecly changing potion and stil his offsprings where the type of chaotic, destructive, dumb ones.
